    I admire the answer Mr. Jones gives to the question of Divorce. "None of my business". I wish more celebrities could speak that way.

      me too! and even though I watch a lot of Bobby's interviews, I must admit she has a tendency to cross the lines of keep doing it after actors hint that they're not comfortable, happens in other interviews too, like she's gossipy, it's kind of dumb if you think of it, that she assumes that he's being interviewed that he'll tell her something (that he barellly knows at best) , about someone that he just worked with on a project, and has a respectful (even if not close) relationship with

    I love how he shut down the stupid questions. He did it in a way that made her dumb questions seem petty, which is exact what they were. Bravo Tommy Lee Jones.

      Exactly. Your talking to a Harvard graduate. Ask him some intelligent questions.

    The fact that Tommy wasn't nominated for the Oscar for his portrayal of Doolittle, but did win for The Fugitive, to me, is an outrage. He became Doo every bit as much as Sissy became Loretta. He deserved the lead actor Oscar for his performance (one of his best performances) in Coal Miner's Daughter, and it will always be a damn shame that he was robbed of it. Loretta and Doo felt the same way about it -- and they were right.

      It could be because his role wasn't "lead". But I do agree, he should've been acknowledged by the academy.

    • @MsJourneyfan
      @MsJourneyfan Год назад +1

      @@kirbykipling9515 He was the lead actor in the film, the central male character. He was eligible in either the lead or supporting actor category. The academy snubbed him - period. No changing my mind about it.

      @@lexkanyima2195 Not really. He was already well known on Broadway by the early 70s and had been in a number of movies, then he made his mark as a popular character on One Life To Live - all by 1975. Coal Miner's Daughter brought him to everyone's attention, but there are a lot of people who already knew who he was.
