  • LaMarzocco Espresso Machines have played a crucial part in the development of specialty coffee. They have been loved by baristas and known as a sign of quality around the world for decades. While in Italy, I visited their HQ, the LaMarzocco Accademia in Florence, which is also a museum about the history of their legendary machines, a coffee lab, a place for barista training, and much more. In this documentary, we go on a journey through the history of the company La Marzocco, learn about how their different machines were handcrafted through time, and how they came to be such iconic and loved espresso machines in coffee shops today. We also discover what is going on in the La Marzocco Academia and learn some fascinating facts about coffee and the future of coffee production.
Thank you to all the LaMarzocco staff for this fascinating tour!

Fascinating to see the science behind the portion.
And i love the fact that the tour guide stressed that it is the barrista, and not the machine that makes the perfect coffee.
    Great, sustainable Philosophy, too.
    Good one.
    Continua, per favori.

      Glad you liked it 😛
There is a reason why so many specialty shops use these machines 😛
I love the attention to detail they have and the philosophy behind the brand 😛
Plus they are so much fun to use 😁

The barrista's get Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI) NOT Carpal Tunnel. This is a CRITICAL difference.

Not sure if I missed it, but what is the origin for the name La Marzocco? Meaning?

The Marzocco is the name of a lion statue by Leaonardo. It used to be placed in the center of each city after it was conquered.
This is now the no go of La Marzocco, and the idea was to conquer every coffee bar by place a Marzocco on each counter
