I bought my first Ego product, a 56v string trimmer and man was I impressed! It was on sale also which made it all the better. Can't wait to buy another Ego product
I've recently bought the Ego mower and string trimmer myself and i love them. They were clearly designed to be electric first and not just an electric motor slapped onto something that was designed for gas. They are indeed as powerful as they mentioned here. Im really looking forward to buying more in the future as needed.
They are great, aren't they. And it's really hard to explain that to people, but once you have tried it you know. Here is our webpage with everything EGO www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html
I have the following EGO products and love them all..... Mower (self propelled), Snowblower, Leaf Blower, Edger, String Trimmer and Chainsaw; and the the following batteries, two 7.5, 5, and 2.5ah. All of the equipment these replaced, I cleaned up and sold on Craigslist before they become obsolete and nobody wants gas powered stuff anymore. I did have to replace under warranty the 2.5ah battery and that one was the newest one. While the initial purchase of the EGO products is a little painful, it’s worth the investment in the long run. My .02, carry on!
That sounds great. I'm getting most of my family converted. It's a little hard for some of them to accept a battery powered tool to their old gas, that is until they try it out. Thank you for watching. Check out hundreds more of our videos at www.aroundthehome.org
Great Demonstration. I'm ready to upgrade after I saw him reloaded the string trimmer. I have a kobalt mower I've had for 11 years still works. But I'm upgrading on everything to EGO
LOVE THESE!! We have the mower, trimmer AND snow blower. I would have bought the blower, but our 16 year old 'corded' Black and Decker blower/leaf vacuum is still kickin' booty!!
I started off with the push mower, then upgraded to the self propelled! I love it. Then I picked up the Ego Snowblower, edger, string trimmer, hedger along with three rapid chargers and a standard charger. I love having the backup batteries! Only thing I worry is the battery replacements. They are pricy!
Sounds like you got quite the collection going on. I know, I have that thought in the back of my head too, having to replace those batteries one day. I would suggest just pick out a new tool. Here is our webpage with everything EGO www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html
you are better off finding a new tool to get a batty with it. This is the trend for ALL power tools. Dewalt battery is 99.99 you can get a kit for 129.99 with the same battery and a tool.
Bought my first ego product tonight. ST1511T trimmer. Your video was great in easily explaining everything on how-to. Gonna whip my sons yard in to shape tomorrow for sure!! Thank you so much for all the details!!!
Fantastic Brand, very well researched before just throwing it out to the public, 5 year warranty, nothing to hide. love the after sales service in Australia to !
I just bought an Ego lawn mower. Waiting for the battery to charge, then will cut the grass today. I'll go back and get the string trimmer Monday. Nice the way the string loaded. I'm also wanting the electric dethatcher. I've been using corded electric equipment and I'm looking forward to battery powered. Thanks for the videos.
Ye sold me... I was looking at Sun Joe and Green Works... I had already bought the Ego chain saw as it was a consistent top 5 review... But the powerhead system I was having trouble finding any reviews where it placed. After watching your video I was on the fence, but seriously considering just adopting the Ego ecosystem... since I decided on the lawn mower I decided I was going all in. we ordered the cultivator attachment today making the last of our old gas tools that have been replaced with Ego other than the tiller (they just do not have a full size tiller yet).
I find it to be the best cordless line of outdoor power equipment out there. And they keep coming up with new and better products. Here is our full EGO playlist if you need anymore help. ruclips.net/p/PLxwydrM6xLuXnc39AF0vaAYvLdauVFlBU
Good choice! Here is our video on the mower ruclips.net/video/vyxqNmf6_WI/видео.html And here is our webpage with everything EGO www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html
Ego has a backpack that holds the battery with a cord to a dummy battery that mounts in the tool. I bought one to use with the blower for fall leaves, the extension hedge trimmer which as you noted is heavy, and also for the string trimmer. I no longer use my gas mower, my gas string trimmer, my gas backpack blower, my gas snowblower, and I think I can get rid of the gas can entirely.
I use my EGO mower in hot southern state & mow at night using a head lamp. I save the battery on mower by not usually turning on the lights. It is quiet enough can mow at 2AM and no one notices. Much cooler time to mow. Quiet enough doesn't even scare the rabbits very much.
Just bought my first product. Pretty exicted to do work on my yard. Very nice video explaining all the different equipment and a video of it in action.
I also recently bought the 56V trimmer, mower, and blower. It's true - these tools are awesome. They are super powerful. The batteries last a good long time. And, the best part is no gas or oil. You can set them down any way you want - no gas or oil leaks, no flooding, starts right up - no fuss no muss. Perfect. The only improvement I can think to look forward to is the batteries becoming lighter - which will probably won't happen for a few years yet - still the tools don't weigh any more than their gas counterparts.
I know I have enjoyed them. Still going strong for me. Here is our full playlist that may offer some additional tips and tricks. ruclips.net/p/PLxwydrM6xLuXnc39AF0vaAYvLdauVFlBU
Wow man great video I brought my blower and trimmer about a 3 months ago and love it. But seen you video I am going to get the chainsaw and hedge trimmer too. Thanks 🙏
I have the ego mower and the 650 cfm hand held blower as well as the older backpack blower and they work great but as far as the string trimmer I had it x2 and the head would change direction on me
No problem 👍Glad I could help. Here is our webpage with everything EGO on it. It has all our videos and other resources. www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html
I own The EGO lawn mower, chain saw, and weed wiper. I seem to have trouble mixing and matching the next set of equipment at a good price! Wish list: 5ah battery, PH1400 power head +20" hedge trimmer,+ 10" chain saw
That's great. And the hedge trimmer on the power head is awesome. Though I know, it will cost a few bucks. Thank you for watching. Check out hundreds more of our videos at www.aroundthehome.org
I am....... OBSESSED! lol Will you be purchasing and reviewing the bristle brush sweeper attachment?? EDIT: never mind!! I just saw you have a video, yaaayyyy!! thank you!
Is the blower also a vac? My corded Toro has both blower and vac capabilities and I love the vac for picking up and mulching leaves into a shoulder mounted bag. I am sick and tired of cords though.
No it is not. And given the design and the turbine style fan I don't think any of these, not just EGO, could ever be a vac too. I understand what you are looking for. I end up using the blower to push all the leaves to the back of my yard, it is strong enough to strip the leaves out of the grass. Then I just use the mower and bag them up. They pick up just fine when you blow them so that they are not "in" the grass, but on top of it. Hopefully that helps.
23:52 what was that?? A white bat?? A tree sprite? 🌳 a moth...lol I'm buying into EGO products! This was a wonderful video! Entertaining and informative! Can't wait to use this stuff!
God Bless you man. You got facts and awesome content which makes actual sense of allllll the pros why we all need to convert to battery operated, especially these EGO yard tools.
They really are great and I have been loving my equipment. Here is our full EGO playlist. Have more videos scheduled to come out as well. ruclips.net/p/PLxwydrM6xLuXnc39AF0vaAYvLdauVFlBU
I understand that. When people ask me about outdoor cordless equipment, first of course I like the EGO, but I also tell them to look at the entire line. It sucks to have batteries for different brands that only work for one tool. Thanks for watching. Here is our webpage with everything EGO www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html
They need to add an ebike to the line up. I converted my old 3 speed coaster brake to an ebike and use the Ego battery. Get at least 4 miles out of the smallest (leaf blower) battery.
i use the range in a commercial sense, and these this BRAND across the board ticks every box, 5 yr warranty tell you they have nothing to hide ! plus my clients call me Elon...
I run the Makita weed wacker and blower myself it goes up to level six I usually use it on level four otherwise it pretty much just blows shit all over the place and not where needed 😂. That ego stuff seems really nice I'm glad you like it & I put the echo speed feed head on my XRU15. I already had Makita shit so that's why I stuck with Makita and I'm definitely not disappointed they seem to make high-end equipment. I wish I had a friend who had the ego so we could see which ones were better it's all for the fun in my opinion obviously work is involved lol
Nice video. I am a current Ryobi customer and looking for more power. I like what I see in EGO. Hey, I see you are in the Dallas area. Waving to you from Greenville!
Thanks. Here is our webpage with everything EGO on it. www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html Oh, and I am in the SW MO area. But I guess not super far away from Dallas.
Nice vid - thanks. In Oz the rapid feed head (just the replacement part) shows as discontinued, which would be annoying as those bump heads all seem to go "medium-term" even in my DIY usage. All looks very enticing and may well go for this brand on a couple of things I need after I check on that back up part more.
The older rapid reload head has been replaced by a better model. I tried to put it on my older trimmer, but it will not fit. Though, I did not need to replace it. Still using the same 4 year old trimmer today. Here is our webpage with everything EGO. All of our videos and resources. www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html
I converted my neighbor too. These things sell themselves. Thing that I would say would make the tools any better is if they put an accurate power gauge on the battery.
They really do sell themselves. Love my equipment. Now I only have 1 with the newer power gauge and haven't used it that much. Is that the one that you are talking about not being accurate, or the older ones with no power gauge other then it turns red when the battery hits 15%? Thanks for watching. Here is our webpage with everything EGO. www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html
@Fupa74, good questions. The batteries do have a 3 year warranty. But you must buy them from an authorized dealer. Like Lowe's, Ace Hardware, or Amazon.com. Not a third party on Amazon and definitely not on Ebay. I made sure all my links go to proper Amazon.com sales. Also, you need to make sure to register them, but that is easily done online. Now, for your second question. Best way to store them for the winter is not in your freezing garage, if you have a garage that stays below freezing even during the day. Now, these batteries have an intelligent system in them that will automatically drain the batteries to 30% after 30 days of no use. They do that because that is the best way to store them. All you have to do to use them again is drop them in the charger and let them charge back up and then you are good to go. If you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask. And here is our webpage with everything EGO on it. www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html
I picked up an ego mower to mow at night. It's the only time I can mow without my nosey neighbor walking out. He'd come over about 5 min after I cranked my Honda.
It's a great mower and yep, quiet enough not to bother the neighbors. Here is a full overview video for the mower. ruclips.net/video/vyxqNmf6_WI/видео.html
Honestly, I find that you get 4 to 5 years out of the batteries. My larger 5.0 Ah batteries that have gotten weak from being 4 years old I now use in the string trimmer and get about the same runtime as the 2.5 Ah. But what battery is over $400?? The 5.0 Ah battery that is in the standard push mower is $249 right now at Lowe's. Standard price, not on sale. And Lowe's is the main dealer for EGO, along with ACE Hardware. Amazon is still hit and miss, especially with the batteries. And the 7.5 Ah battery, which comes with the self propelled models is $349. I know they are not cheap, but that is the correct prices.
I am not team earth or Captain Planet 🌎. I love my stick shift gas powered sports cars 🚗. However ,lawn equipment is a pain in the booty . Dealing with small engine problems is a nightmare. Gas, Gas-oil combo’s, filters . Stalling/starting/ect . * I LOVE EGO ..❤️❤️❤️❤️less worries 💯….
And you will never catch me preaching to people about which system may be cleaner. So many things to consider in that equation and I'm not here to tell you how to live. All that aside, you are right. Small engines can come with a lot of problems. Nothing simpler then snapping a battery in and going. Here is our webpage with everything EGO www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html
TIM from Canada I am looking for a new blower and weedeater I have been looking at EGO Products for sometime they sell these at Lowe’s in Canada. What are the model numbers I should be looking at for the best blower and weedeater.. because in your video here you did not put any model numbers down...
Tim, first, thanks for watching from Canada! Ok, here is an Amazon link for the 650 CFM blower. www.amazon.com/EGO-Power-LB6504-Variable-Speed-Lithium-ion/dp/B087RRLLQ3?crid=3HMWRL3AEYYIC&dchild=1&keywords=ego+blower&qid=1621521396&sprefix=ego+blo%2Caps%2C205&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzQzBFWURCNDFaSDNRJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjI5MDU0MVlIV1lDSFI0SlMySCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMzcyNjI4UklLUzdFNVpMRlFLJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ%3D%3D&linkCode=ll1&tag=greatwhitenin-20&linkId=060c0c4445ab1765e46f1b0d0b80c36c&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl And here is my initial review video for that. ruclips.net/video/171EaQZOgho/видео.html Then here is the Amazon link for the Multi-Head system combo with the edger and string trimmer attachments. www.amazon.com/EGO-Power-MHC1502-Multi-Combo/dp/B0868DL5TL?crid=3EYHJUI5CWN97&dchild=1&keywords=ego+string+trimmer&qid=1621521544&sprefix=ego+string%2Caps%2C207&sr=8-5&linkCode=ll1&tag=greatwhitenin-20&linkId=76f5610cbb7431334ad427887a862673&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl And here is my webpage link for the Multi-Head system with all of our videos and resources. www.aroundthehome.org/ego-multi-head.html
In this video, I did not have the 650 CFM blower, but the 530 CFM blower. But these are the links for the same Multi-Head system. Here is the link for the Hedge Trimmer attachment, which also includes the options for all of the Multi-Head attachments. www.amazon.com/dp/B07BFJS984?&linkCode=ll1&tag=greatwhitenin-20&linkId=cfabb89413588b8082448df199ff6ef9&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
Would be nice to get into the EGO lineup , but they don’t sell it here. There is a store which imports them , but it domes with a pretty big markup which isn’t really worth it and in case of having something going wrong , things will be getting complicated.
Btw , i should add that they do have a website , you just can't really order anything , since error 404 comes up once you click on the online store. And the store that it send you to only has 6 different items for sale , 4 lawn mowers , a 5.0ah battery and a normal charger.
I know that Amazon doesn't have a complete product line for EGO, but they are at least Authorized dealers so that you can register the warranty. That is as long as you get it from Amazon.com and not a third party seller. Does Amazon work over there?
@@AroundTheHome1 Edit:RUclips deleted the 1st comment: basicly amazon isn't really a thing here , we have the german most close to us , but they do not sell any ego tools. And delivery fees are very high if i wanted to order from those who have it So best choice would be to buy from the importer (!t about a 20-40% premium over the normal price), but if anything goes wrong with the tool or need some maintance done to it by EGO , then waiting times are just too long. So sadly , looks like ego won't be an option for some time and will pick up a dewalt 18v one as a replacement for my milwaukee quick-lok , which likes to melt batteries
The link in the description for the leaf blower says 650cfm. But it appears to me that one one in the video is the smaller 530cfm. Please let me know if I’m wrong. I’m looking at blower and chainsaws right now. Just need to figure out chainsaw size I need Great video I live my new power loading string trimmer
@Jeff P you are correct. The blower in this video is the 530 cfm. This video was originally shot just as the 650 cfm came out and therefore was unable to make it in the video. The Amazon links that I have in the description are all of the good links that I could find. When I put them in there, there was not a good link for the 530. And what I mean by a good link I mean from Amazon not from a third party. Especially because the warranty is no good from a random third party. Just checked again and here is an Amazon link for the 530 cfm www.amazon.com/EGO-Power-Lithium-ion-Cordless-Electric/dp/B06Y52TZB2?crid=1WMHZSA6FV80O&dchild=1&keywords=ego+blower&qid=1619994340&sprefix=ego%2Caps%2C226&sr=8-4&linkCode=ll1&tag=greatwhitenin-20&linkId=dbb1bd0f6b824666e631bbd7ec9a85d0&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
@Jeff P here is my initial video on the 650 CFM. It weighs a little more, but that's really just because the battery that it comes with is the 5.0 instead of the 2.5. Honestly, it does have some nice updated features, but the main reason I bought it is because I wanted another 5.0 battery and this was only $50 more then the battery alone. ruclips.net/video/171EaQZOgho/видео.html
No, no it does not. Just the Multi-Head power head does and it only comes in one form. Thank you for watching. Check out hundreds more of our videos at www.aroundthehome.org
As he looks at the shill in disbelief "Are you kidding?, you know what, I'm about ready to buy one!" Did ego help you with the production of your video? Excellent marketing video for ego, well done!
Thank you, and no, EGO had no input on the video. They did however send me most of the tools you see here for me to review for my viewers, but I expressly make sure that if companies do send me demo units that I use them and make my videos my way, period. Thanks for watching and here is our webpage with everything EGO www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html
I've been checking this the one big drawback is the cost I hear they're at least $300 or better and they don't even come with a strap that's extra every time you get so much extra and then they should talk more about the need to get the line I don't know what your point 095 is the better the thicker line is better on cutting cuz it's a grass starts to get a little too long of the weeds good for cutting the weed is Uptown or getting close to the house the man however they need to keep the cost down or a weed wacker hacks with the gas and no oil and the combustible engine you just a painting that they are louder a little so far they are stronger though so I'm going to follow the situation and see if it's really worth the money they aren't cheap though I will point out to that and it should come with that strap I repeat should come with a stripper to come with everything should have two additions to it
Also he should have mentioned the motor is supposed to be what you call them I know bushings in the motor something otherwise it wasn't a bad demonstration that guy should get a physical he's breathing like it pretty breathing heavy I think you should see the doctor I think you might have a heart problem I'm retarded. I've been watching him so we'll go from there
@@ron7195 that is a lot to unpack. First, I didn't know which tool you were really talking about because this is my video on the whole EGO lineup. But it seems that you are focusing on just the string trimmer? They are not the cheapest out there, I won't pretend that. But they can cut just as good as the high end gas models. $300 is for their top of the line trimmer with auto string feeding, or what they call Line IQ. It also has a carbon fiber pole and the PowerLoad feature. If you buy the more basic model, it is $200. Whether you get an EGO with the Rapid Reload head or the Powerload head, the .095 Twisted line is the best for smooth loading and feeding. I don't know if you have anymore questions about the trimmers. I do have a lot of videos on them. Here is my full EGO playlist. ruclips.net/p/PLxwydrM6xLuXnc39AF0vaAYvLdauVFlBU As far as my health goes, I'm just naturally a heavy breather. You are not the first person to mention that, and you won't be the last. But just so you know, I am actually pretty healthy.
He’ll want to splurge on the self propelled version of the mower. I’ve used a Greenworks Pro push mower for the past three years, and the EGO 2102SP I just bought (on clearance for half off at Home Depot - heh) is soooo much nicer. Between the low noise and not having to push the thing, mowing doesn’t even feel like a chore. Also, I hear the shoulder strap makes a world of difference when using the trimmer.
Always great to get something on clearance! And thanks for the input. Thank you for watching. Check out hundreds more of our videos at www.aroundthehome.org
You're right, it is older but with many improvements. When they were first made I thought having a video over 30 minutes would loose people, so I broke it up into 3 parts. It ended up that the first video had 3 times more views then the other 2. Now RUclips has chapters so people can easily navigate across the video right on the timeline. Also took a little out, added a few things, and gave it a better title. I think this is much better.
Except if it was an infomercial then Joe would have had to spin around, wrapping himself in string then fall to the ground. And it helps if you do that in black in white. Ok for reals though, this was not scripted at all. Joe asked me if I wanted him to mention anything. I told him, "no, you say whatever you want to say about it." For all of our videos on EGO along with other resources check out our webpage. www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html
I mean, the self-propelled is nice, but this EGO mower is the lightest and easiest to push of any push mower that I have used. I even lift it over my head to put it up on the shelves when I am done with it. Here is our webpage with everything EGO on it. www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html
Kobalt is trash! It literally was my first eletric mower. I had to charge it 3x to do my property. It was taking 2 hours to charge... I sold it, used that as part of the money towards the ego mower. Since then, I have significantly increased lawn equipment thanks to ego

I find it to be the best cordless line of outdoor power equipment out there. And they keep coming up with new and better products. Here is our full EGO playlist if you need anymore help. ruclips.net/p/PLxwydrM6xLuXnc39AF0vaAYvLdauVFlBU

Curious, do you see a runtime difference with the lights on. When I mowed at night I really didn't.

I converted my neighbor too. These things sell themselves. Thing that I would say would make the tools any better is if they put an accurate power gauge on the battery.
They really do sell themselves. Love my equipment. Now I only have 1 with the newer power gauge and haven't used it that much. Do the batteries come with any kind of warranty? Also, best way to store them over winter months in a cold climate?

How many years does the battery last for the mower? Because just the battery alone is over $400
Honestly, I find that you get 4 to 5 years out of the batteries.
Was that a huge luna moth that flew out of that bush?
Not totally sure, but I think it was.
Where's the 56V Leaf Vacuum/Mulcher ???

Would be nice to get into the EGO lineup , but they don’t sell it here.
There is a store which imports them , but it domes with a pretty big markup which isn’t really worth it and in case of having something going wrong , things will be getting complicated.
Curious, where are you?
@@AroundTheHome1 Europe , Hungary
And delivery fees are very high if i wanted to order from those who have it
So best choice would be to buy from the importer (!t about a 20-40% premium over the normal price), but if anything goes wrong with the tool or need some maintance done to it by EGO , then waiting times are just too long.
So sadly , looks like ego won't be an option for some time and will pick up a dewalt 18v one as a replacement for my milwaukee quick-lok , which likes to melt batteries

Great video I live my new power loading string trimmer

@@AroundTheHome1 do you like the 650 better or does it weigh too much
@Jeff P here is my initial video on the 650 CFM. It weighs a little more, but that's really just because the battery that it comes with is the 5.0 instead of the 2.5.
