How to Swim Butterfly

  • In today's video I will be teaching you my favorite stroke, Butterfly 🦋 🐟
    Breaking it up into:
    Legs (Dolphin kicks) - keeping legs together splash and stick you bum out of the water, which forces your legs down further to push more water. Remember to keep your legs together so the water doesn't escape through your legs. The more water you push the faster you go😉
    Arms & Breathing - Very Similar to Freestyle (Front Crawl) arms go in a circular motion. Starting infront of you, pull the water down towards your legs, pinkies out, and fly out of the water to start position.
    When you want to breathe (2nd arm cycle) lift your head as you pinkies exit the water and face back in as your hands enter the water again.
    Timing for Butterfly - 2 Dolphin kicks, then one Butterfly arm. Arms remain infront while kicking.
