I can see you kept your interior somewhat intact, and I’d like to do the same for the ‘94 Corolla I’m working on. I can see your cage doesn’t push out into the door. Where did you get your cage?
I am not sure, since this car is a friends car, but when I was talking to him, it sounded like another friend bought a kit cage, then made some modifications and welded it himself. Try S&W (link below). I have an e36 and I plan to do that. Yeah, we didn't have to cut into the doors much - trimmed the inner handle/elbow rest a bit. I helped build a cage for a Neon and we cut into the door a lot and made a NASCAR bar style on the driver side. The X brace seems to work well and still allow relatively easy access. swracecars.com/product-category/roll-bars-roll-cages-street-bars/
Spin starts at 12:52. Setup of in car video camera is excellent. You can see the driver, his hands & out the windshield.
Thanks. Yeah we had the camera to low on Saturday so you saw the driver and the sky out the windshield lol
This would be cool to watch in an actual race car.
wait... are you saying the rust bucket of a 1990 RX7 isn't a real race car! lol
