I think the monkeys are sharpening the stones to crack open the coconuts. I saw them dropping them from tall trees & if they can’t open them from that, the sharp stones may help. Just my theory!

The reason why many tourists including myself from Malaysia keep going back to Bali is there are hundreds of things to see and do and best of all, there are always places to relax and chill at beautiful cafes, restaurants and hotels nearby. I have visited places in Java, Sumatra, Lombok but most of them just once or twice in the same place because they don't have the thriving culture, arts and great tourist facilities like Bali which is like some of the best of Indonesia packed in one island especially for those who can speak bahasa indonesia to explore remote areas of Bali.
Visited Ubud monkey forest back in 1999 - but we were staying in Nusa Dua so it was just a flying visit. Would love to come back to Bali but I’m thinking next time I’ll stay in Ubud. Great video - thanks. The Bali tourist board should definitely have you on a retainer!
I didn't really like alas harum, way too crowded and commercial, it's better to go to a cafe further down, and you can walk into the fields there, plus better food and view and peace from the cafe
Your love for the place and its people shines through. Vlogs of most others are about themselves. Can you do a detailed video of Pura Mengening the next time you are in Ubud? The number of steps one has to climb down, whether one has to rent a special sarong if one wants to take a purifing dip in one if its Tirtha? Thanks in advance.
looks like the monkeys are grinding food..if u look up grinding stone where indians use to grind their spices u will see the same way the monkey is doing..
