- Expat Failure In The Philippines / Filipina Wife Prays For Our Future
My Filipina wife wants to say a prayer for our future plans in the Philippines. It's always good to say a little prayer. Will we have a happy ending in the Philippines or will it be an expat failure? We look forward to reading your comments! Take care!

I live in suburban Buffalo. Thank you for saying what you did.
Had the opportunity to meet Jim Jelly and Thurman Thomas, both great men! 🏈
I think you guys will do well here in the Philippines. You have done the preparations and considered all the right things. Looking forwards to meeting y'all when you get settled in.
Thank you Barry!
Not good to stay in Phil for long .,the prices of goods and commodities are very costly , your money is easily consumed fast. Not like before 4:00 4:00
@@josefinabonife8388it's way more cheaper in the Philippines compare to US..for as long as they have their own house here not renting and have business for sure they will afford and survive the cost of living here
It seems like you and your wife are carefully planning .That's what is most important. I hope everything turns out the way you plan.
Thank you!
Happy birthday you two! 🎉
I’m more than certain y’all will be successful.
Life does have some surprises but y’all have planned great.
Good luck guys I’m excited for y’all.

Happy Birthday Cecile and Chanelle! Wishing you guys all the best! After watching you guys I would say you have done all you can to have a successful transition to living in the Philippines full time. Excluding natural disasters or serious health issues it seems like you have nothing to worry about. You guys take care! Looking forward to seeing many more vlogs from Marker 44!!

Hey Scott Cecile & Liam! Happy Birthday Cecile & Chanel! Not at all! You can't predict the future and unforeseeable circumstances can pop up. Myself I would have kept the U.S. house and make it a rental. Your lives are your lives! I support any and all decisions you make or will make in the future. Wish you the best of luck. Hell with the haters anyway! Know that you gave it a lot of thought and planned the transition very well. As Clint Eastwood stated in the movie Heartbreak Ridge, "Improvise! Adapt! Overcome!" Hoorah! Hahahahahahaha! wanted to inject a little humor into the conversation. Cecile would be close to her Mom & family; the best support channel you could ever have. I believe in your strong family dynamic and also in your present and future successes. Am a loyal viewer and staunch supporter of the channel and your family too. Cecile is such a GREAT wife and life partner. I always enjoy her contribution to the video. Good fortune, health, fun, love and happiness to your family! Safe travels my friend!
Thank you Walt!
@@Marker44 You're most welcome
Scott/Cecile I understand your excitement and maybe some trepidation. After all it's if not the biggest decision of your life but als the most consequential. That said you both have no reason to doubt your readiness as you have prepared well, checked and double checked your to do list, and you will have to make the commitment required to transition successfully. I too am rooting for you both as I have watched your preparation and thoughtful process that evolved culminating into making your move a resounding success. Regards and best wishes, and remember it's normal to feel a bit nervous maybe, but think of the future and all the possibilities it holds.
Thank you Charles. We appreciate it!
Happy Birthday!
Thank you!
Happy birthday to you Cecile and channel 🎉
Thank you!
I sent an email to you Scott. Stay positive, you're planning very well. We tried a move there and learned a lot, and will move there again in the near future. By the way, happy birthday Cecile and Chanelle.
Awesome thank you!
Happy Birthday Cecile n Chanel
Thank you!
It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
It's my life
My heart is like the open highway
Like Frankie said, "I did it my way"
I just want to live while I'm alive
It's my life
Great song
Happy birthday Cecilia God bless
Thank you! God bless
Happy Birthday Cecile

You’re definitely doing the right thing. Keep leaning forward
Thank you!

I'm making the same jump next year. We're selling our housing and moving to the Philippines. I'm 46 and working remotely from there. We pre-purchased a condo in Manila. We wish you the best of luck.
Good luck to you both!
@@Marker44 Thanks! Good luck to you too!
What the name of the girl itching I know her, m can't I know her nàme, .
See her similar with my friend before ,please I beg you.
I want to know her maybe she is my friend before if not it ok for me.
Scott Cecille is doing a Novena. Prayer should be a big part of everyone's life as it guides us, cleanses us, focuses us, opens us up to possibilities we never knew or understood about our lives.
The sooner you move the better so you can get on with your lives, the more you prolong it the more you have doubts . Don't think of failures just think of successes and things will work out.
i would rarely respond. However, there is NOTHING better than a praying family.
When you look at those who invented things that they had to work things out until they got it right to finally succeed which is what I would say that you would have done to get to your point where you both would have success if you had to move back. Happy birthday to Cecille and to Chanel. I have no doubt that you all will succeed in everything that you do.
Thank you!
Hello Scott. Happy Birthday to Cecile and Liam!! No one can predict the next minute muchless 6 months or a year from now. My issue with your decision is based on the length of time you've spent at any given time. I can't tell you how long one needs to be in the Philippines before deciding on living there. For me I would have to rent for a minimum of a year in a furnished or semi furnished apartment, house, or condo. I lived in Angeles for 8 months in a nice 2/2 apartment in 2002. I've visited the Philippines 3 times before staying in a hotel for a month at a time since 1995. BIG difference in vacationing and actually living there. No comparison! Just my opinion but I thought you bought too much too fast. Yes you can always move back to the US if it doesn't pan out but you would of saved yourself a lot of time and money if you had rented for a minimum of a year. Just my thoughts and no, you aren't a failure if it doesn't work out. It would only be an expensive lesson but all hope is not lost. If you could keep the house if you guys moved back then your wife and son are taken care of whenever it's your time to go home with the Lord. Just commenting on the way I would handle it but we are all unique and do things our own way. Good luck to you all!
Thank you!
We are planning on going back to our Cebu home permanently one year after you guys. You will be alright there, you have youth on your side. We are much older and relying on our Govt. pensions for our income, our house belongs to us which is an added advantage, not having to pay rental fees. Hope to meet up with you one day? Bob n Lina.
Best wishes to you both!
my filipina wife not likely to move back to state maybe for my health reason not hers. My daughter will stay in my house in case i have to go back i not selling my favorite car something i will miss fast cars it will be stored at my house . Wife clearly was not as happy in states that what matter most. It was not in her heart to live here i new that she came her for marriage cause that what i wanted not her it not home.I'm not likely to move back unless the marriage fail or bad health. Her best excuse a good one her child starts college soon education is expensive in states. Good luck in your choices
