Navillera is a MASTERPIECE ! I rewatch it often. Most underrated K Drama of all time. His performance is extraordinary. 🥰

I totally agree, Navillera is definitely underrated! I loved the way Song Kang portrays the lead role and the empathy he portrays accurately for the old man with an obvious growing love, respect and protective admiration for an Alzheimer's person. I was very impressed with Song Kang's interpretation of his lead role, plus his ballet skills were amazing for only 6 months of learning and practicing. His role was deep and he was excellent in his portrayl of the lead role. Go with your heart Kang, you're doing a great job.
His eye reaction shows through and seriously the best in Sweet Home. You see pure fear, innocence, to the monster/ predator just by his eyes. Night and day.
I really have loved every single one of Song Kang’s mini series Navillera is one of my favorites but My Demon was very good it made me cry and laugh!! He has extraordinary talent!! I’m glad that he chose to become an actor instead of an architect or furniture designer!! Keep going Song Kang your fans can’t get enough of your talent!! ❤❤❤

The first drama that i saw of song kang is nevertheless and i was so in love with him and his acting that i wanted to c more of him, so i watched my demon and now im currently watching his sweet home and trust me he is so damn good that he makes u fall in love with him... Im not exaggerating in a room filled with so brilliant actors he shines out.... I wondered how can someone be so damn good with his skills and now i know y after watching this video.... He has really worked hard to reach where he is today.... So to all the ppl who keep criticising him( 🖕🖕🖕)
Tbh the hate on My Demon is so forced just because Song Kang improved so much from him previous works and now those haters had no criticism to throw at Song Kang they started to criticise the whole drama and its script and Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung's onscreen chemistry which in my opinion and many others was outstanding I thought to myself that I have watched Love Alarm and Forecasting Love and Weather and Nevertheless and the female leads he worked with but none of them had a better chemistry with him than Kim Yoo Jung not even Han So Hee. Song Kang is such a great actor the hate towards him is so forced seriously

It really shows that no matter how you look (and he is a very handsome man) how much talent you have - and of course he does, the remarks and criticism from other people can affect you so much, I am beginning to realise how toxic social media is and it does seem that the so called fans in Korea have literally no boundaries on what they say, the way they behave or how cruel they are to the actors and idols - even things like if an idol or actor start dating someone and they have to do it secretly because the fans can be truly vile as well as somehow having a belief that they have some kind of right to pass judgement on the idols or actors decisions even about dating someone.
They also seem to be deluded enough to think that if they met them they would date them????? Seriously, behaviour like this really means you have a problem and probably need some kind of therapy.
I do wonder why there is not more done to help protect the public figures with privacy laws etc it is really unnerving to see the way these idols and actors have to behave to stay out of the line of fire from these so called fans - I would say these are not fans these are not supporters these are people who need some serious serious help or focus in life because this is not anywhere close to normal behaviour
The culture there is too toxic like they always believe they own their celebrities…like harsh and toxic comments,they’re humans as well,they feel hurt and love…they need to regulate how fans treat their celebrities…don’t get me wrong I love kdramas and Koop but things I read these days really breaks my heart like why would someone be apologizing for dating,,something that makes your favorite idol or actor happy…omooooo
I agree with this. I recently watched a korean rom com mini series that showed how the celebrities have to live their lives according to what the fans expect. You know the word "fan" stems from the word "fanatic," and seeing how these people behave when it comes to celebrities, they really are fanatics. We should try to coin a term for the people who enjoy someone else's talents and want to support that person with kindness and admiration, not toxic obsession. That way, we can separate from the other looney tunes out there. America started to use the word "stan" to describe a person who greatly admires a performer. Of course, it derives from an Eminem song/video that shows a fan with an unhealthy obsession with the artist, so I guess it's not much better than a fanatic. 😅
If anybody reading this has a suggestion for a term, leave it here. Maybe a good one will catch on.

Navillera was beautiful, and what's with all this "lacks depth", goodness me, Song Kang in My Demon was top class and drew you in like moth to a flame - thoughly fabulous acting and entertaining that kept you on the edge and wanting the next episode. Sometimes you lare eft wondering who is doing the critiquing - they are the ones without depth. Keep it up Song Kang!
I loved him from the moment I saw him. I can't believe he went through all this. I hope he's doing much better I can't wait for his next project. I don't remember when I cried last time during watching movies. Today I finished watching My Demon and I cried all episodes 15 and 16. I was shocked with my own reaction, but I realised this boy touched my emotions deeply and I felt him with all my heart.

Ahhh… what do people know, they’re not actors but criticizers who don’t look at themselves in the mirror to see their flaws. Kang is an actor who has excelled in various roles. Bravo 👏
I also loved Navillera and I agree it is totally underrated. I must admit although I enjoyed My Demon, I like his other performances much more especially in Forecasting Love and Weather and Navillera. I was somehow shocked about his change of looks in My Demon and his way of "pronouncing better" made it less enjoyable for me in parts. But I would never criticize him and I think all these Fan- Comments that are harsh are horrible- who are we to judge? He is working hard, all of them are working hard and they make our lives a bit more colourful - so thanks for that.

I think Kim Yoo Jung sussed him out about his personality pretty well in their ‘My Demon’ promotional game; behind the cheerful facade, he would be quite intense and serious, probably due to his past experiences in your story.

I find him a very subtle layered actor. He has the ability to portray the sort of bitterness or turmoil ordinary people struggle with in their less than ideal lower class lives very well, while also having this incredible flashing grin that illuminates his whole face when joy and happiness occurs. Obviously as I am not a korean I can't speak for diction but in terms of bodylanguage and voice, his delivery is great. Also whether it is his skill or the directing/editing, he really manages to be a great support actor for his fellow leads. Like he takes just the right amount of centerstage while being a great support for the partners. That creates creates great onscreen chemistry even in a piece like Navillera where the relationship isn't romantic.

He's great. I only watched My Demon, and that's how I discovered him. His story is also surprising and serves as inspiration for people that want to pursue work in such a difficult and judgmental industry. He's in the military now but for what I've gathered he'll be out by 2025. I'm sure he'll surprise all of us again with another wonderful role and performance. And hopefully he'll soon find love ;)😅

I love everything he has done with the exception of Sweet Home but only because I'm not into horror. However I did watch part of it. Navillera was my favorite. I don't get people who question his acting. It was awesome to watch. Nevertheless and My Demon had me hating having to wait for each installment.

Imo song kang is doing really good as an actor. I think he did really well in love alarm, sweet home, and Navillera. He did well in his other roles like my demon and nevertheless too but those characters were less suited to him, although he looks the part, his characters in those dramas did not have enough depth for him to dive into. I think that is more the writers/storytellers responsibility as well. I hope he goes more on the path as navillera and sweet home where the stories are not as romance centered because those are the shows that he is able to stand out the most. Romance is lowkey his weakness (except nevertheless where he has good chemistry with the actress). I think his potential just lies in more emotional roles, because he is really good at that

I was so shocked when I learned this man is 30, only a few years younger than me. My first time seeing him was in Sweet Home and even then I didn’t recognize when I next saw him years later in Love Alarm (which I did not finish) and Nevertheless. He still looks like a kid to me. His face is so tiny which I know Koreans love but for me it’ll give him a baby face. So I’m shocked he was told he “started late.” Who cares when he can still play a high schooler and looks so out of place in a business suit. 😅 Anyway, My Demon was the first drama where I felt like “Wow! He’s proving himself more and more as a talented actor.” I appreciate his acting since realizing who he was during Sweet Home S2 and that I had already seem him in non-pretty boy roles acting emotionally (though S2 was a weakly written season). I feel like he’s the next Song Joong Ki who will end up stepping outside of pretty boy rolls and focus on emotional and mature roles.
