You should look for deras, an East African equivalent to your bubus *sp, made out of cotton. They are light but not flimsy and breathable and so fit for the hot weather

It's just weird seeing fish not being on ice. We have ways to go. I am particularly deliberate about carrying a cold bag when buying seafood and meat. What heat does to them in transit can give one food poison.
