Hey guys I just want to make one thing clear: this is not my design. I just make a video on how to do it quickly and simple. The original design is by Gnembon. Be sure to check out his channel.
Rasmus Dencker-Jensen nah that’s not how it works, they spawn on any block available to spawn on unless there is a torch on it in a 9x9x9 are and if there isn’t then they just spawn midair
@@bruh-js7lo Not entirely, but it might seem that way. Blazes spawn when the light level is 11 or less, while torches provide a lightlevel of 14. So it is possible to light up the spawner with torches, you just need alot of them. Also the area around the spawner is 9x9x3 (x,z,y).
The reason why is because they sense other blocks outside to try and pathfind to but they can’t so they walk around aimlessly, clear a space 10 blocks out from the grinder so they won’t see it
Thank you for making a straight to the point video and not explaining every tiny detail. It’s so hard to find a video less than 10 minutes that’s just “put this here, and you’ll get your stuff”. Thank you
I recently made one that transported blazes to the killing chamber with minecarts rather than relying on any path finding mechanics. Pretty small since it’s only one spawner but it works like a charm!!

Your guides are clean, to the point, and provide ample visual guidance to quickly learn and apply a build. I watch them when I want to learn, I watch you when I need to get things done! Thanks!
I found a simple work-around. When you disconnect and reconnect, I guess it resets their wandering mechanic because they all just flood into the trap. It's pretty nifty
I’m really confused as to how you don’t have more subscribers, like seriously, your clear about your tutorials and your farms work like a charm!! Honestly dude keep great work up and you’ll one day become really successful!!
Yo, a tip for anyone needing to troubleshoot their blaze spawner, if you are killing them in the killing chamber, and some of them are just frozen, create some kind of redstone device that reduces them to enough health so you kill them immediately. This is because of how the blazes behave, when you hurt them and they are still living, they alert other blazes in a 50 block radius(I'm pretty sure it's less now), but the alerted blazes in the spawner can't see you, so they stay frozen. However, the newly spawned blazes will act as normal.
Just made this in survival. These are some things I wish I'd known: - 5 torches are not enough. Some users here claim that filling a 7*7 around the spawner with torches (49 torches) will do. If you try this, replace the blocks under these torches with dirt blocks. Dirt is easy to remove fast from underneath when you are done. In my experience, some blazes still spawned, but not a lot, so it could be handled with a good enchanted bow. - Bring scaffolding and fill in the height on the edges from within. After you've put on the floor, you can't fall in the lava from within. - You are building inside a nether fortress, there'll be plenty of other blazes from the rest of the fortress opening fire when they can. Build walls at least 4 high where needed. Maybe put in an iron door and some buttons for an easy, safe entrance. When your farm is done, the walls will protect you from spillover blazes when you're in other parts of the nether fortress. - Finally, there are tons of blazes in my box at all times, but at most 25% going towards the funnel at any time, meaning, the exp is not superb, although it is not bad. There's plenty of blaze rods even so. From some very brief testing I have much more than I can brew with.
P.S. Fire resist potions will not make you immune to blazes, especially not if you are within the box, stupidly removing blocks slowly where you should have put dirt under that 7*7.

Blazes are not attracted to magma blocks, rather they're attracted to 1 solid block in a cage of transparent blocks. You could use any opaque block instead of the magma block.

Hey guys tried this in 1.15.2 and it works pretty well. From some tweaks I've found these tips to be very effective: 1. Make sure you clear a good amount of blocks around the farm so no blocks outside the farm will effect. 2.If you want to afk, make sure you havent attacked the blaze(causing them to aggro) this will make them attract to you instead of the magma block. 3.So after afking and killing the mob(triggers aggro)(recommended 15mins afk) 4.Hide behind a block and RELOG. I don't know what was happening but my blazes weren't tracking the magma correctly and so I tried removing the trap door next to it and the tracking worked a lot better so you can try that if something's not working well
You need to remove all blocks around the farm in like a 20 block radius or something just leave the corner where the killing chamber is with blocks filled, that way the blaze ai thinks it would be nice to wander there.
Daniel Schädler rather than do that, is it possible to just cover the outside of the glass with non-full blocks (like stairs or slabs) as seen in other pathfinding based farms?
Flirty Wingman i dont know of a farm that uses that concept.. you are fine to put slabs or stairs withing the space where air should be as they are transparent.. but i dont know if just putting them around helps or even works
There is one important information missing: You also need a distance of 10 blocks from the outside of the 9x9 square to the next solid block horizontally, and vertically 7 blocks distance at the bottom and at the top. This is why it makes 1000 times more sense to search for a spawner which has a small amount of blocks around it. I didn't know it and picked a spawner which was in the middle of thousands of blocks. Then I checked the original video from Gnembon and started to mine all the blocks around it... after 3 hours I still don't even have the half of it done. I searched for a better spawner and will build it there now... Alot of time wasted :/
KoleosXD 2004 Well, never mind. It fixed it for like 10 minutes and it’s back to doing it again. I replaced the magma block and still can’t get them to go towards it.
It's because Blazes don't go for Magma Blocks. I don't know why he claimed that. Same thing with the torches blocking spawns. Dunno what he modified but those two things I can confirm are utterly untrue.
Lolipop Candy make sure to put the glass block on top of the spawner I also added a glass roof about 3 blocks above the glass block I placed on top of the spawner seems to be working perfectly fine for me
FL2802 don’t forget the glass block above the spawner I also made a glass roof 3 blocks above the glass block on top of the spawner seemed to make to work better now
Make sure to build another 4 blocks up and add a roof, makes things much easier, also I would add the glass around the blaze spawner before removing all of the blocks to reduce blaze troubles.
A desgin improvement I recommend is making the kill chamber 1 lower then putting a sticky piston at the top you can activate acting as a blocker so the blaze can't jump out of the hole.
This designed to be an AFK farm, so you can leave your computer running and when you come back there will be a lot of loot. It only works if you build everything perfect, so if missed a block, its your problem, not a designs fault. And of course they will fly after you hit them, you are supposed to kill them BEFORE they fly away
I'm having the same issue on the 1.4.4 server i play on. At one point I had over a hundred Blaze built up that never traversed to the magma block. My game chugged while I tried clearing them out.
The tutorial is well made, but my blazes will just idle instead of wandering to the magma block immediately like most of yours did, is there any fix for that Edit: Fixed by removing more blocks under and near the glass ( like several blocks from the outer wall)
I have extreme blazefarm with 20 blaze spawners in one server and it has plugin that makes mobs to stack when there is up to 5 same mobs nearby, so when i have 2000 blazes ready to kill i put water below them and hit them eventually they all die at the same time and i get so much xp that server crash
I watched the original video this is based off of and it has to do with mob pathing you have to clear all blocks 10 blocks around and then 7 above and below for them to path towards the magma block
Just built it in survival works and build able but there are some point that you may wanna know: -Torches DONT work they will keep spawning while you are building so take at least three fire res. potions with you -Expanding the tunnel makes it worse not better - For some reason half of the blaze that spawn doesnt care the magma block -MOST IMPORTANT Be sure to put some blocks and stay a bit away while slaying the bois so they wont detect you and will come to the magma block otherwise they will see you and try to start a staring contest
That most important point is very helpful...i noticed a difference in the blaze's pathfinding when i am in survival..i made this same farm in creative as well and the blaze kept pathfinding like in the video
Blazes spawn at a light level of 11 or less. The idea is that it lights up the area too much. You can't just do it with the five torches, you'll need more. Secondly, it's been a thing for a while, though I think it's not a hard rule like it used to be.
Hey @Voltrox i made an Exact copy of this XP farm. but for some reason when im in Survival mode, they just wont go down. but whenever i got into creative they just stream down right away. Got any idea whats going on or how to fix it
I know what’s going on, but not how to fix it. When you attack them all blazes become aware of you, meaning they are triggered and will keep on flying upward so they wont go down.
For those wondering the original song at 3:13 is "1935 Abe Lyman and his orchestra - March Winds And April Showers" as far as the remix of it i'm not sure. Edit: The Remix is "ProleteR - April Showers"
@@mdeg9601 tip, wait for 1 to come in and dont kill it right of the bat. Blazes have a tendency to go towards eachother causing a lot of them to quickly follow the first. I tested it and it got me about 3 stacks in 20 minutes instead of 15 rods in 20 minutes.
If you get to many blazes and they dont go down the one spout, just replicate the killing funnel in all four corners and this farm will work 10x better!
The blaze dont interested to magma block, magma block is a full block and the blaze pathfind to that block, on the vid he use glass (transparent block) and one full block... Simple to say just type blaze pathfind farm on youtube
@@dad6476 I think he try this farm only in creative..in creative is it working really well...In survival you need actually destroy all the nether blocks which distracts blazes in at least 7 blocks from each side...i used lot of tnt :) and now it´s working pretty well...
Idk about the ps4 thing but it has to be glass. Mobs that spawn on the ground like zombie Pigman can’t spawn on the glass, so that’s why you would only have to place down the carpet for the ghast. This leads to the blaze being the only mob that can spawn there
I mean really just follow the guide if possible, Ik it sucks gwthering the reasources but if you are at the point of building farms you should be able to get an effeciency shovel and get some glass
the magma block does nothing, they AI is wandering towards there because there are more solid blocks in that direction (the other corner is over the lava lake), this worked for him by pure chance.
I had no idea that blazes were attracted to magma, thanks man that saves me a lot of trouble as I dug up an entire shoreline next to the lava shore for soulsand and a stack of magma blocks.
You need much, much more light, and even then, it'll probably only reduce the number spawning, not stop it completely. Other comments suggest 49 torches, going 3 out in every direction from the spawn cage in a 7*7 square. If you do that, make sure to put an easily removable block under the torches, like dirt, which can be undone quickly with a shovel when you're ready to activate the farm.
I saw a different tutorial which put torches like this: | | | | [|] | | | | (Viewed from a ‘bird’s-eye-view,’ | = Torch and [] = Spawner. *There is a torch on top of the spawner)

@@gearsoftime9375 so, if I add some lava around it will send the blaze to the opposite side?
It's because Blazes don't go for Magma Blocks. I don't know why he claimed that. Same thing with the torches blocking spawns. Dunno what he modified but those two things I can confirm are utterly untrue.
@@Hollow_Phoenix it depends what your playing on because this only works on java edition
Al ot of blazes aren’t going towards the magma why is this?
FL2802 I’m having this same issue too
Me too
Lolipop Candy make sure to put the glass block on top of the spawner I also added a glass roof about 3 blocks above the glass block I placed on top of the spawner seems to be working perfectly fine for me
FL2802 don’t forget the glass block above the spawner I also made a glass roof 3 blocks above the glass block on top of the spawner seemed to make to work better now
@@bernardtoth8999 thanks i'll try 😊
Make sure to build another 4 blocks up and add a roof, makes things much easier, also I would add the glass around the blaze spawner before removing all of the blocks to reduce blaze troubles.
Easy and short tutorial. Worth it!!
A desgin improvement I recommend is making the kill chamber 1 lower then putting a sticky piston at the top you can activate acting as a blocker so the blaze can't jump out of the hole.
Why? if they dont see you, they dont fly
They can still see you if your eye level is the floor I found that it worked better
And if i stood at the top they flew more and less went down, not sure why but its what happened..
This designed to be an AFK farm, so you can leave your computer running and when you come back there will be a lot of loot. It only works if you build everything perfect, so if missed a block, its your problem, not a designs fault. And of course they will fly after you hit them, you are supposed to kill them BEFORE they fly away
Hlebuw3k how is this much of an afk farm when you have to kill the blaze, and also there is entity cramming making afking for more then 5-10 pointless
Anyone know why the blazes just chill at the surface of the glass and don’t go into killing chamber?
Do you have the magma block?
@@whyareyoureadingthis3936 it doesn't work for me either
Ya same
I'm having the same issue on the 1.4.4 server i play on. At one point I had over a hundred Blaze built up that never traversed to the magma block. My game chugged while I tried clearing them out.
It is probably due to blocks being in range of the blazes' pathfinding
Try clearing blocks from the area
3:12 When you listen to the background music, you might want to build a redstone contraption
Mumbo, you there?😂
What is the name of that song btw? I really like it and would appreciate if someone gave me a link, or name

this was a great, to the point video:) keep up the great work
Thanks to u😊😊
We dont have to dig under the internet to find these farms
Thnx😊😊👍
Old Mumbo's song will never be forgotten...all because of a greedy company :(
Blazes dying on a magma block is the equivalent of Smartwater getting trapped in a bottle meme.
The tutorial is well made, but my blazes will just idle instead of wandering to the magma block immediately like most of yours did, is there any fix for that
Edit: Fixed by removing more blocks under and near the glass ( like several blocks from the outer wall)
How many blocks were?
I still dont get it
I'm also confused
If you are expierencing this problem re-log then add town magma blocks basicall mirror the other magma block then clear alot of blocks around the farm
Its the AI wandering mechanic. Search it up
Thx bro definitely will be using this in my world! 💯👌🏼
This was an awesome video. Now I can make potions! Thank you!!
If you are noob (like me) i suggest you to bring some fire resistence pots, many blazes it will spawn when you are building this xdddd
I WANT THE OLD MUSIC BACK!
In mine the blazes don’t notice the magma block and just keep jumping around
Let me guess... Bedrock edition?
Remove everything in 20 block radius around the glass cube, leave only the killing chamber and a diagonal path into it
Hlebuw3k yep 😂😂😭
Hlebuw3k k thank you
@EVERmints Same here, when i clear the first wave, they start to focus and engage me
Works for me. Thanks for creating the guide :D
Nice! been lovibg the tutorials. Would you be able to do a pumpkin/melon farm tutorial?
Brilliant tutorial, but places torches hasnt stopped my blazes from spawning, tryna work round then is harddd
fire resistence potions should help :)
Coretak never even crossed my mind😂
The blazes aren’t going to the magma block
Just Kidding same for me
Keep they aren’t attracted to it 🤷🏻♂️
yea
What version are you using?
@@Phoenix-21F which one works? Java right?
I have extreme blazefarm with 20 blaze spawners in one server
and it has plugin that makes mobs to stack when there is up to 5 same mobs nearby, so when i have 2000 blazes ready to kill i put water below them and hit them

same issue

@@rr_koolaidz4790 same i wasted so much time
I watched the original video this is based off of and it has to do with mob pathing you have to clear all blocks 10 blocks around and then 7 above and below for them to path towards the magma block

u don't have* lol

Can you list in the description or comments of the farms if they work for other editions (PS4)?
minecraft on ps4 is like 1.12 rn, doubt you would be able to make this using magma blocks, just get an Xbox or a PC so you dont have to be catered to
@@harpxwx on ps4 he have magma block
Official Flash so this farm works on bedrock edition
Tnx for it it really works! New subuscriber
Thanks dude I made it even faster by making two killing chambers😁😁😁😁
Just built it in survival works and build able but there are some point that you may wanna know:
-Torches DONT work they will keep spawning while you are building so take at least three fire res. potions with you
-Expanding the tunnel makes it worse not better
- For some reason half of the blaze that spawn doesnt care the magma block
-MOST IMPORTANT
Be sure to put some blocks and stay a bit away while slaying the bois so they wont detect you and will come to the magma block otherwise they will see you and try to start a staring contest
That most important point is very helpful...i noticed a difference in the blaze's pathfinding when i am in survival..i made this same farm in creative as well and the blaze kept pathfinding like in the video
"First place torches on the spawner so no blaze will spawn." When did _that_ became a thing?
Never, and it still isn't. Only lava produces enough light to stop them spawning, and you'd need four very close pillars of it.
@@Hollow_Phoenix Yep, thanks, rethorical question ;)
Blazes spawn at a light level of 11 or less. The idea is that it lights up the area too much. You can't just do it with the five torches, you'll need more. Secondly, it's been a thing for a while, though I think it's not a hard rule like it used to be.
Hey @Voltrox i made an Exact copy of this XP farm. but for some reason when im in Survival mode, they just wont go down. but whenever i got into creative they just stream down right away. Got any idea whats going on or how to fix it
I know what’s going on, but not how to fix it. When you attack them all blazes become aware of you, meaning they are triggered and will keep on flying upward so they wont go down.
i have this same issue too
I had the samw issue but staying "afk" or waiting near the chest, without having eye contact with the blazes in the spawn it will work bro
You can also replace the glass blocks except the ones on the floor and its ok ;)
The moment i heard mumbo jumbo outro in your video, you get one sub from me :)) great fast video. Thumbs up!
For those wondering the original song at 3:13 is "1935 Abe Lyman and his orchestra - March Winds And April Showers" as far as the remix of it i'm not sure.
Edit: The Remix is "ProleteR - April Showers"
What is the first music ???
(I found it and it is name ProleteR - Red Soap)
Jümars thanks!
It doesn’t work man, the blazes are just bouncing around, they aren’t even moving towards the magma block!!!
Super Sonic ikr i spent all that time and it dosent work
Same I wasted a ton of time and resources and they won’t even move towards the magma block
I tried adding more but non
@@mdeg9601 tip, wait for 1 to come in and dont kill it right of the bat. Blazes have a tendency to go towards eachother causing a lot of them to quickly follow the first. I tested it and it got me about 3 stacks in 20 minutes instead of 15 rods in 20 minutes.
watch 3:05 again. you should have placed that magma block on wrong side. after correcting it farm worked for me
If you get to many blazes and they dont go down the one spout, just replicate the killing funnel in all four corners and this farm will work 10x better!
Underrated channel, keep doing what you're doing!
Such a clean and concise video!
Im on java and the blazes aren’t interested in the magma block what am i doing wrong?
The blaze dont interested to magma block, magma block is a full block and the blaze pathfind to that block, on the vid he use glass (transparent block) and one full block... Simple to say just type blaze pathfind farm on youtube
John Ass i also used glass but they still dont go towards the magma block
@@dad6476 I think he try this farm only in creative..in creative is it working really well...In survival you need actually destroy all the nether blocks which distracts blazes in at least 7 blocks from each side...i used lot of tnt :) and now it´s working pretty well...
Open some of the trap doors will make it a little better
@@lampastrom it's not about creative, but how many and what blocks are around it. My example also works perfect in survival
Does this farm work on ps4?
Do I have to use glass or can I use other blocks like cobblestone?
Thanks you for the video!
Idk about the ps4 thing but it has to be glass. Mobs that spawn on the ground like zombie Pigman can’t spawn on the glass, so that’s why you would only have to place down the carpet for the ghast. This leads to the blaze being the only mob that can spawn there
Th3MuffinMan do the walls hav to be glass too
I mean really just follow the guide if possible, Ik it sucks gwthering the reasources but if you are at the point of building farms you should be able to get an effeciency shovel and get some glass
Th3MuffinMan I hav the glass but my spawned is inside a mountain thing so I don’t really wanna destroy the walls and replace them with glass
I’m assuming you mean netherack so idk I would just follow the best you can, or if you really are scared to do it try in creative first
The blaze are not going towards the magma cube
the magma block does nothing, they AI is wandering towards there because there are more solid blocks in that direction (the other corner is over the lava lake), this worked for him by pure chance.
inuyanju mmmmm
@@inuyanju the one made does also not work due to this problem... is there a way to fix it
all the corners, not just the walls, have to be filled with glass.
Billy35084 I did that
It works ! Thanks alot mate... you helped me alot . thanks again
I had no idea that blazes were attracted to magma, thanks man that saves me a lot of trouble as I dug up an entire shoreline next to the lava shore for soulsand and a stack of magma blocks.
Blazes keep spawning when I put the torches around it
You need much, much more light, and even then, it'll probably only reduce the number spawning, not stop it completely. Other comments suggest 49 torches, going 3 out in every direction from the spawn cage in a 7*7 square. If you do that, make sure to put an easily removable block under the torches, like dirt, which can be undone quickly with a shovel when you're ready to activate the farm.
my blazes dont come to the magma
does the glass box have to be made out of glass?
I have the same problem dude :c
The blaze AI searches for a solid block to come to, the glass is treated as a non-solid block but the magma is, so the blazes come to the magma block.
