Can we talk about how good the Cymbals are for a second The China cymbal sounds so good and the splash cymbal makes the most oddly satisfying sound to me for some reason
Nice o have literally been looking for this song for over a year and I finally found after hearing from my schools 8th grade band and I hope your band does... well I guess because this was from 2 years ago lol 😂
We played this in class and it was awesome. But of course my teacher gave me the chimes part and I had to play 6 instruments, switching 11 times in total. 11 times in a 3 minute song. Fun times!
@@Marsh370 wood block, rain stick, finger cymbals, suspended cymbal, chimes, and vibra slap :) this one song is where I learned most of the instruments I play lol
I'm playing this currently for my ensemble for band and my teacher gave me the Glock part, I am playing with another person, they are playing bongos with it and I'm playing the wood block part!!!! this piece is so fun to play!!!
God, I remember playing this back in '89! Wow, those were the times.
God, I can't remember anything because I'm old.
89?! When was it composed?!
@@Marsh370 I thought it was made in 2009

Xylophone E and J section of the piece has to be the funnest thing to play

Why out of all the parts Timpani, xylophone, and Toms are the most complicated
Timpani ain’t that hard dog 💀
@ca5tw00d3 clearly you haven't played the timpani in this song then. The solo and the sextuplets at the end go crazy
I played the timpani part! Had such a fun time
Idk
Xylophone part was still the most fun 11/10
U sure cuz I’m doing it and it looks hard
@@HeVm1200 Bro that’s what makes it fun
We’re playing this in our symphonic band it’s just awesome to here the percussion alone but I play tuba so there’s not much that we play
I played snare it was so fun
Timpani is going to have to do some practice over this
my bd put one of the people who actively avoid timpani and never play it on that part
I play all the accessories (shaker, China and splash cymbal, triangle, and tambourine) it scared our class when we got the piece.
I'm also playing all the exact same things! :P
Wait, you mean the Auxiliary instruments right?
Bro the ocean drum is probably the best one in this song
i asked for the tympani part and got the BASS DRUM. smh
I got toms/hi hat
Jake Redahase same
I’m doing this with my drum line and it’s dope af
My percussion is playing this and I suck a xylophone
King Productions XLIV I have the snare part it’s pretty easy
@@kingjaye8888 I have snare part too! Fun snare solo.
King Productions XLIV same
I have the xylophone part too lol
@@arminomidvar6872 Agreed! XD

this brings back so many high school memories, I was toms/hi hat
Holy shit same!! Good times, I remember reading those 32nd note rolls on the high hat for the first time & freaking out
@@nate6760 I LOVE finding someone else who can understand the pain (and joy)!!!
That's me right now🙂
Which ensemble performed this?
O_O
Xylo part is easy
TheNewEra I agree I play it, it’s not that bad
Everyone says that but it looks hard
I haven’t tried playing it though
