Isn't it always attack speed on Kayle? Because Irelia shreds 30% armor and converts attack speed into damage and blade movement speed.

You are correct that red Kayle is higher cap with Irelia.
But when I chose shred kayle, I didn‘t have irelia. That made Shred kayle better, and since i couldn‘t afford to lose a round, I picked it.

Oh, yeah, that makes sense. I remember you mentioned that you can't afford to be on one life because the lobby has such high HP, and you might get knocked out by one unlucky positioning against someone. And also, Irelia offers only armor shred, and your frontline deals quite a bit of AP damage, so shredding with Kayle was 100% correct in your position.
