- With just a week and a half until we start moving into our new house, we have a lot of packing to do! But that's not slowing Lincoln down on learning to walk as he starts to work with a walker!
Stephen's Guacamole recipe: (for a large family! 😂)
-10 avocados
-2 limes
-1/2 red onion, chopped finely
-1 whole clove of fresh garlic, minced
-1 bunch of cilantro, chopped finely
-1 jalapeño, chopped
-2 teaspoons of cumin
-1 teaspoon of chili powder
- Sea salt & pepper to taste

i'm gonna be honest, i cried when Lincoln tried walking. i've followed his journey, his first journey where he couldn't walk, went through brain surgery. i'm proud. like hella proud. Lincoln is lucky to have parents like you and family who loves him despite who he is. may God bless this beautiful family 🙏🏽.

My storage container cabinet gets organized every 3 days. It's crazy!! Mugs...oh goodness, we have so many! I did a house purge in January with just clothes. It made a difference. Now I am going to do one room at a time! For the spice vitamin cabinet...this is what I am going to do to mine once school is out and I'm done teaching for the summer...put in 2-inch shelves around the 'walls' of the cabinet so everything is along the edge. Keep smaller bottles in the 'middle'. This allows better viewing of the contents of the cabinet. Also when packing clothes. Roll them. I put 4 days worth of clothes for my 2 kids and me in an 18-inch duffle just by rolling the clothes. Roll the socks and undergarments into the shorts and shirts etc. You'll be refolding when you get to the new house, but it'll all be together in a smaller space for the move. Use your dishtowels and bath towels to wrap breakables. Cuts back on using bubble wrap. I have so much more...but don't want to overwhelm you. LOL Okay, one more thing...yard sale items not going to the new house and the money you get can be used for new Tupperware! Oh, I crack myself up! No seriously though sell items and then you can as a family do something cool with the money you get from the sale! Either for yourselves or make a donation. I okay, I'm done now. HAHA

Recently moved to a small 1BR apt with 2 pieces of furniture. Accumulated a ton of crap from last place and already had a storage with a ton of crap from many years past. Downsizing is a pain in the you know what! Containers, but no lids. Lids, but no containers. *sigh* I feel you guys.

I just loved seeing Lincoln using the walker ❤️ I like minimalist living! I done the minimalist on most of the things I own, like my clothes only have a dresser it has 12 drawers different sizes and only use 8 drawers under all categories of clothes and when I buy new item I get rid of clothing item!! My dad thinks I’m crazy getting rid of things if I buy new item what ever it might be, he always says I might need the old item later!

Way to go, Lincoln! It won't be long. I have had so much more peace since I moved and got rid of stuff that I have not missed. Even decisions as simple as what container I will store food in are so much more simple. You will LOVE your life after simplifying. Stephen, you are looking great! have you heard of Marie Kondo? She's a Japanese lady and she is superb when it comes to organising!!! aloootttt of my friends use her techniques to organise and well, it works! I am terrible @ organizing too. And I love my spices!! I keep seeing great ideas for using office organizers for kitchen cabinets! Like using the file organizers to keep lids and flat pans all organized.

You should get Lincoln a puddle jumper. It will give him more support in the water and some more freedom to use his body as well. My son has some gross motor delays and his swim teacher recommended it for him and said it was better than a regular life jacket because a regular jacket raises up around the neck and face and will sometimes push them forward in the water. He may feel more comfortable in the water with a puddle jumper too!

Mark your calendar for Sandfest 2020 and bring the kids down for a great weekend (either the 3rd or 4th weekend of April) of some of the most amazing sand sculptures you have ever seen and an awesome kids area where they can learn to build sandcastles (all happens in Port Aransas).
Lincoln is improving so rapidly. I imagine that within a year he will be walking with his walker just about everywhere. I've noticed that his communication is improving as well. Prayers continue for him and for all y'all.

Warning, lodging fills up quickly for that weekend, so I advise booking far in advance. We always recommend www.stayinporta.com because they have the best rates we have ever found when booking a place on the island. For your family, I would recommend Chapel Cottage, which would also give you access to the Chapel on the Dune (Stephen you would love this little chapel, especially for some wonderful pictures). This is the house we rented for the week that we brought our 2 Godsons, 2 foster children, and a friend's daughter down from Arlington a few years ago and I made my final decision that eventually we would move down here.

Loved watching this. Lincoln's progress in walking reminds me of when I was learning to walk after surgery when I was a baby. My brother and sister-in-law have married for 16 years on February 15th. A friend of mine and her husband will be married 11 years on May 17th, a week before my sister and brother-in-law's 11th Anniversary which is May 24th.

Everyone has tupperware cupboards like that!! I put lids in separate container and stack the rest by shape. Works ok
