If you want viewers to "See how easy it is to install the Shelly Dimmer 2 without having to connect a neutral cable!!!" Then show them how easy it is to install!! A moving, unsteady camera shot of a completed installation just doesn't cut it! That said, thanks for your efforts.
Thanks for this video. We have the impression that the bulbs flicker a little I have the same problem at home so I unplugged it because I am not sure of my assembly. And when I turn on the switch the light goes out after 4 seconds. I will give another try tomorow.
Nice video! Regarding your question at the end: sure there are other solutions, but they are either way more complicated to install, or way more expensive! Shelly produces awesome products. Where did you get yours if I may ask?
Thanks for the video. A question about wiring. In your "no neutral" picture you have 4 cables. I have only 2 cables going in to the back of my light switch, giving a switched live. What are your 4 cables? I downloaded the manual and still don't understand. Thanks 😊
@@SmartHomeJunkie @Smart Home Junkie At 2:47 you show the dimmer with 4 wires connected, but you don't explain what these wires are and how they connect to your switch. Do you even have a wall switch? We don't see. I found your video when trying to make sure this would work with my wiring, but unfortunately this important bit of information is missing. (I think this is what the other poster meant when they commented above).
Yes, I use a pulse switch. And the colors of the series should explain itself. They are connected confirm the color codes that are usually used when you connect lights to wall switches.
You have to buy a shelly wire set with it. 1 black wire from that wire set you connect to the SW2 on the shelly and the other black wire goes to the L next to the SW2 on the shelly. These 2 black wires you have to connect to your switch. The brown one that you have disconnected from your switch goes to the other L on the shelly.
Nice video! 1 quick question, I saw somewhere you can also regulate the brightness by pushing the button for some seconds, with that same button. Can you explain how to settle up please? :)
@@dannyazcutia7602 No no, your question was clear. My switch does not support this. But there is a setting to set the Shelly to edge switch. I guess that might work if you have a correct switch.
Great question. Here in the US, I installed a switch by Levitron or Lutron and it works but not quite as elegant/simple/quick as a lever/wall-based dimmer (probably user issue!!). If you are interested, I'll dig up the RUclipsr that recommended the switch and how it was wired.
Hoi, mooie video!
hello you can send images of cable connection with neutral cable option. because the images are blurry in the movie and it's hard to see what's what. I have a problem with the connection, I will be grateful.
If you are driving multiple loads make sure they are all the same, don't mix wired transformers and switch mode. Shelly go boom otherwise, speaking from experience.
Be aware that it loses all the settings after power cut, before you install many of them in your house. WARNING! Overtemperature issues! It just won't work as a dimmer. www.shelly-support.eu/forum/index.php?thread/10525-dimmer-2-overtemperature-high-temperatures/

Well, I guess I have to thank you for this 😉
Well you’re correct some of us appreciate the short video. In my opinion be better if he does a separate video showing wiring it up.
can also able to wired and controlled via dimmer on the wall like your center controller in 07:25 ?

Any progress on this yet?

I won it in a give-away contest 😊

I have another switch next to this one. I guess that you mean the cables that are routed through for that switch.

Thx. To be honest, my light switch doesn't seem to support this so I can't tell... 🤷🏼
@@SmartHomeJunkie thanks, I re did the question, as may be it was not properly explained.

very good video Sir, will you plz tell if connected led lamps are flickering??
Hi! Thanks! They are not flickering at all.
At what percentage are they flickering, or all the levels?

Hi, Calibration needs to be done with the let light already connected?, I just do not cormprehend what does calibrating do, can anyone explain?

Thanks for the video. But why would you show the most important things (wiring) for only a few seconds?
You can push the pause button if you like :) The wiring diagram is in the manual that comes with the Shelly Dimmer. It's really easy to install.
Top filmpje mooi gemaakt.
Thank you 🙏🏻
what is the function of third L(live)from left side , when start to count from O
Just extra terminal for different setups.
Thanks for the addition!
How can you dim the light with only the wall switch?
I don't think you can.

I am sorry, but I'd have to screw everything loose again.... Maybe you can set the video on pause?

Why does everybody gloss over the wiring?
You need to censor the G word
So, I got your attention! 🤪
