At the world pokemon championship, a huge move update was announced. This includes nerfing super strong moves like wing attack, counter, and steel wing. It also reduces the switch clock from 60 to 50 seconds.
This week is open great league, ultra league, and master league.
Arctibax may be the best dragon type pokemon in great league. Here is a great league team featuring arctibax, dunsparce, and toxapex.
I’m convinced arctibax is the best dragon right now, just hit veteran with it today. The pacing to avalanche is crazy
Hey man I got a rank 17 arctibax other day looking to make a team with it. Who do you run with Arctibax?
And do you use him as lead etc
@@VZRIFY I use it as a safe switch with galarian moltres in the back and gastrodon lead (could use mandibuzz instead ofc). It pairs well with clod and azu imo.
@@williambass5542 thank you!
Does anybody else have trouble counting with their own fast moves flying back in their face?
That is a current bug. You are not alone. Opposing Clodsires cannot be snarling my mandibuzz. He is offended.
Wow, this team is FUN! Some cardiac arrest moments for sure, but in 3 sets I was able to go 4-1, 3-2 and 4-1, so this team definitely has a LOT of play if you use it well.
Ive been having some success with dewgong safe switch to pull out the ice counters and arctibax to close it out. Still playing around with the best lead for that team but clod / tox has worked for me so far. Arcti is super fun to use !
regarding the comment of refilling the energy after a catch from the opponent, i think the 50 second timer has made it less attractive now, especially against spammy pokemon that might burn the clock down with a couple of baits, then maybe bank a move and get out of there before dying. not the case here since toxa would've destroyed azu with fast moves, but having an unaligned clock now can make or break some matches. i actually like that change now since the clock has more prominence in the strategy, instead of just resigning when facing a wall. it opens up a bit the game. that's why we've seen more aggressive strategies as you have noted in other videos
thank you Dan and thank you to the person who shared this team with him. its a lot of fun and im climbing for the first time this season lol
I ran into this team 4 times today, sandslash, azu and dunsparce beats it handily
I would lead with Toxapex, and have Arctibax as your switch because of all his resistances and those fast dragon attacks will get him ahead on the switch 👍🏽
Arctibax seems really fun, I can't wait for frigibax to spawn ever so I can try to get one.
Dunsparce can take 2 EQs from Clodsire with good IVs! It takes 2 Stone Edges easily.
I love dragon types this build looks awesome
Fast move timing was rough on this one. Good wins in the video but could cause climbing issues.
Yeah that has not been my strong suit
I have a decent arctibax I haven’t build yet. This video may have convinced me though!
Can you explain fast move timing?
@@themadhimalayan3267 Dan Ottawa has a pretty good video for a more in depth explanation. A bit difficult to explain through the comments. Sorry
@@s4ltyd0nut Thanks for nothing. This community is full of horrible people like you...
Hi Dan love your videos! I would like to ask if you could briefly talk about the opponent's comp in general, as there are several different teams per video and I think it would be both interesting and informative.
Thanks!!
@15:44 Toxapex would be OP if Brine was X percent better?
I think gatr safe swap is better for this team, one less weak against fighter
Hey Dan, Rocket takeover is coming up and shadow mankey will be featured... curious about your thoughts on shadow annihilape and if it will rise in the meta. Would be interesting to analyze!
Looking forward to shadow anni but honestly I want to test shadow primape out
Thanks Dan, hit 2500 today with the same team
Hakamo-o has been good for me also
When you say "fast move timing" do you actually mean "charge move timing?"
I'm a bit puzzled by your match 'analysis'. On the Chesnaught match, aligning Dunsparce on the Chesnaught was OBVIOUSLY the decisive mistake. Very surprised it hasn't been pointed out
Arctibax is my GOAT
Hoodie Dan! Lets go!
Artibax looks decent for a dragon
I have a team of clod, Malamar and azu do you think I should switch any for arctibax? Or is it a decent team already
Triple meta seems really strong. Artibax has kinda a high attack Stat making it kinda glassy. My opinion. I think artibax is a spicy Saturday pick
Haha I have the same iv arctibax
I would say guzzlord
It’s not, goodra and guzz def better imo
