❤If you wanna skip my rambling intro, go to 09:07. Summary of it: Darryl has been close to, influenced and been influenced by people I read and perhaps mythologized when I was a young bookshop employee in NYC like Susan Sontag, Elizabeth Hardwick, Jim Jarmusch, Nan Goldin, Barbara Epstein, Robert Lowell, Robert Wilson, James Fenton and more (the list is long). I'm trying to express how much reading and writers meant to me in my youth and still mean to me today, including Darryl who is like no other in all the rivers that meet within❤
"Seeing" affordances beyond the colonized cultural "atomized self-serving conditioning" inspires human agency. It's a glimpse of agency but to hold wisdom in the heart, i think needs training in equanimity. Otherwise, energy fields struggle to calibrate "groundedness" and spiral in the heat of the moment.
