We finally get into the venomVerse you all, and we start with the 2018 Venom with Tom Hardy Playing Eddie Brock. After watching and paying attention lol this movie is a good one and I somewhat like the story of the Symbiote in this film I also love the way venom and the other Villian symbiote that we don’t really know the name to still lol, but again this was a dope film for us and to be honest we have doubts about Tom Hollands Spiderman going against this venom but who knows what will happen

the grey symbiote, Riot, is actually one of Venom's offspring in the comics. in the comics Venom has many offspring:
Venom Spawn: Carnage, Scream, Riot, Lasher, Phage, Agony and Sleeper.
Carnage Spawn: Toxin, Scorn and Raze.
Anti-Venom: Venom's symbiote brother.
Hybrid: A hybrid of Lasher, Phage, Riot and Agony.
Payback: a more evolved cousin of Venom's kind.
Silence: A hybrid of Anti-Venom and Scream.
Then there's Knull the first God of The Symbiotes, Eddie becomes the new one but later we learn there are many symbiote gods throughout time. there's also the Agents of the Cosmos who are a group of symbiotes that protect the galaxy. there's afew other stuff about the symbiotes but that's the main stuff.

Topher Grace played Eddie Brock Jr/Venom in Spider-Man 3.
the actor who played eddie's boss was in both seasons of luke cage which is now on disney + along with daredevil who was the lawyer in no way home who caught the brick , jessica jones iron fist the defenders and the punisher
Eddie Brock's boss is Bobby Fish in Luke Cage.
Ok...in previous versions, Venom is either on a meteorite, or he gets picked up in space by Jameson's kid (Werewolf by Night, I think it is). In the original, he is made/produced (never really explained) by a machine during the Beyonder war for Spidey as his new black suit. Symbiotes (plural) were never technically original, but were worked out later as an angle.
All of that can explained out by "multi-verse" (wisely) at this point, as it shows this Venom not being from any of the other previously shown universes (and is from a specific one of his own) so is not constrained to previous versions. So in this universe, both Venom & the others exist at the same time, coming to earth the same way, together in one place.
That symbiote in the other guy is called "RIOT"
