    I was in Whitehorse on Sept 12th 2001. There was a KAL 747 passenger plane and a KAL 747 freight plane and a german plane that were forced to land there. The passengers were allowed to go into downtown Whitehorse and there were lots of them there seeing the town. I watched the two 747s take off on the 13th. Before they took off sweeper vehicles went back and forth on the runway to remove anything that might get sucked into the jet engines. I think it was said that 747s had never landed there before.

    I remember this well since my brother worked at Elmendorf (still does) during 9/11 and he called me when they scrambled the F-15s. What many people don’t know is that there is a volunteer perimeter patrol of the entire Alaska perimeter. They range in age from 12 to 93 years old. Though there is paid border patrol, there is hardly enough with the size of the Alaska perimeter. Thus, they have a volunteer patrol. America can thank much of our safety to these volunteers who are unpaid heroes that have thwarted many of an attack that goes largely unnoticed by the rest of the US. They were definitely doing their job that day. I never knew the whole story. Thanks for this video!

    What most people don't know, is that on 9/11/01, NORAD was conducting the largest scale aviation exercises and drills simulating the same exact scenario of multiple hijacked airplanes. Operations: Vigilant Guardian, Vigilant Warrior, Northern Guardian, Northern Vigilance. This is why the air traffic controllers were so confused. In a released FAA recording, one of the controllers even asks, "Is this real world, or exercise?". No wonder our fighters couldn't scramble in time, they were all diverted elsewhere and too far away to intercept.

      What an odd coincidence...

    • @demanischaffer
      @demanischaffer 5 лет назад +3

      What you've said is full of half truths and misunderstandings
      Global Guardian is an annual exercise that tests nuclear command and control and execution procedures
      Vigilant Guardian was a computer exercise (no planes airborne) testing a traditional hijacking among other scenarios
      Vigilant warrior isn't a real exercize
      There were only 2 exercises running and the one involving planes was simulating a nuclear attack by the Soviet union if it didn't dissolve

    • @jimmyb8060
      @jimmyb8060 5 лет назад +3

      TheReal Lifehacks
      There may have been no real aircraft involved with Vigilant Guardian and the other mock drills, but all aircraft being simulated were put into the air traffic controllers video screens in real time, causing mass confusion. Case in point; when the so called flight 11 crashed into the North Tower, there was a false reporting that flight 11 was still airborne, and that it was another plane that crashed into the North Tower. Same thing happened with flight 93. And the generals did not stop the war games/false radar blips, until after all 4 crashes had occurred.

    • @demanischaffer
      @demanischaffer 5 лет назад

      @@jimmyb8060 Not sure where you're getting your information from
      But according to reports, 30 seconds after the first place hit the north tower, NORAD was switched out of simulation mode, and 9/11 commision concluded that the exercises ended making the response quicker due to more personal being on station then usual, by the time all 4 planes hit the exercises and simulations had been called off, those phantom reports were from the FAA not NORAD or NEADS

    • @jimmyb8060
      @jimmyb8060 5 лет назад +3

      TheReal Lifehacks
      Well of course, you are going by the fraud that was the 9/11 commission report. It is laughable that it was stated that with all the war games going on at the time, that it enhanced their competence because of all the filled posts; when the exact opposite occurred that day. Not one hijacked aircraft was stopped, even while being hours in the air. Not one person lost their job, but were instead, every one of them, to a man/woman, were rewarded with promotions. I got my info from a documentary on 9/11, (September 11; The New Pearl Harbor,) as well as dozens of others, that questions the official story with facts never acknowledged or even considered, by either the government, or the media.

    This is the first I've heard of this one. Despite using the wrong tail number and not knowing the difference between an F-14 and an F-15, I'm glad X Pilot posted this. I don't remember seeing in 7110.65 (from my short time as an FAA controller while awaiting an airline job) a procedure to direct the pilot to squawk 7500 if there is confusion about the aircraft being hijacked or not.
    Not saying the supervisory controller made an error, just that I never heard of that as a controller. If it were true, it would also seem that I would have learned in 21 years Air Force and 27 years airline to refuse a 7500 squawk instruction if I were not being hijacked. Don't recall ever seeing that during training, either.

    Those were not F-15C Eagles that are in Elmendorf AFB. Those were F-14B Tomcats that is only used by the Navy at that time. Also the Tomcats had AC on their tail with a sword, which would be VF-32 "Swordsman" whom I served along side with on 2 carrier cruises, and they were based out of NAS Oceana, VA, which is in Virginia Beach. I doubt they would have been in Alaska.

    I wonder when the passengers were made aware they survived only because one of the fighter jet pilots was hesitant with the “go ahead” order long enough to allow the aircraft to land? Gosh, I got nauseated when I thought what a tragedy this would have become, only to add to the multiple tragedies of that day.🙀

Thousands had just died and we weren’t taking any chances.
