      That's because some of Nigerian especially from the Igbo tribe in Nigeria was moved to Jamaica during the slavery days and they have some similar language example Obia man Igbo call it the same thing some other Igbo languages are still stitched into Jamaica language.

    Big up Jamaica and Nigeria! I was born and raised in Jamaica but I just found out that I’m 49% Nigerian from getting my genes checked on AncestryDNA.Turns out most of us Jamaicans are part Nigerian. Yaaaassss!!!

    You can't say; "I don waka go work tomorrow". That is totally wrong in pidgin English. The right way of saying it is, I dey go work tomorrow. I go waka go work tomorrow, would mean I will trek to work tomorrow.
