I’ve driven deep into Tanami desert several times with Warlpiri mob back in the early 90s. It was when I worked for CLC. Teaches you a lot about fixing flat tyres, and then how to avoid getting them. Bloody beautiful country out there.
Forget the 4wheeling, these guys are walking around in shorts and sandals in the bush in a country full of some of the most deadly creatures. Australians for the win on not giving an Ef.
Spent 6 weeks just south of the Granites mine site. Doing survey for Sons of Gwalia looking for gold. Driving gridlines all day. Fixing spiked tyres in the evening. Running 12 ply tyres. Good fun. :-)
Hot tip for survival in the bush : your drone can get higher and survey much more than climbing a windmill tower, and won't risk you getting busted up !
A set of 12 ply trojans with split rims would get us a few months of puncture-free time but once they started to get worn down the stakes would get through they were ugly and next to useless but boy did they stop most of the punctures. I could remove a tyre and fix a puncture in a few minutes, we were offroad with mine exploration camping in some really remote areas. is a beautiful place when you came to appreciate it, but you must always respect it and be prepared.
Makes sense to repair what you have left, better to risk a repaired tire then a new one. Too many of those type of puncture will ruin your day really quick.
Nathan Waweru they just used a couple of screws to hold the tin in place. It’s like when you get a nail in your tyre. It might leak a little bit but not much as long as it’s still in.
misolou fout yeah I figured it was a pump, just reciting their own words and laughing at the fact they climbed it to look around when at the same time they flew their drone around for the shot.
G'day Henrik -- Well you're in luck, we've got our own streaming platform over at unleashed.tv with full episodes from every series plus bonus content! Cheers, Team All4Adventure

The Australian bush is like West Texas, Wyoming, and Nevada, all rolled into one, and multiplied by a factor of 50.

Nothing to worry about 👍
Long pants wont help if its a drop bear, they go for the neck. Lucky there are not many tall trees in the Tanami Desert
Every Aussie has a little Mud Gecko in the back yard haha

Meh - where’s the adventure in that
Yeah, but not 'adventurous' TV,,,,
I mean they are literally using a drone the film the shot of them on the windmill, I think they realise that, they just want the fun.

Awesome ! Just curiouse, do you all set up camp in a circle ? Or just where ever you end up parking for the night ?
In a circle, just in case the Emus attack.

Climbed the windmill to get a lay out of the land hey? What about the drone that never crossed your mind.
Yo yo. Awwsum country. Boys. 2 deadly,. That's gold. Xxx.
Oi what's the best 4×4 track in cape York
very nice.
Your doing hard job and great bro but worthit
Hang on, what's the deal with the tin can sidewall repair🤔 that needs further explanation please.
Tim S stops the plugs from being pushed out by the tyres air pressure especially when the tyres are actually running lower PSI as they flex more.
Low air pressure for offroad so the tin stops the plug spitting out ... sidewall rips aren't good & are a death knell for tyres ...
also wondering. Is it to keep the plug in place? And what did they drill in to secure it? Wouldn't the tire leak from the new holes?
@@47Rolling what did they drill in?

Featureless - all the features I’m after🤘
That's the Rotor of a kind of pump used for pumping thick oil or sludge.
And water
I have seen them pump moist sand and gravel mixed with diesel from a rusted out underground tank. Good pump but expensive.
Meher positive displacement pump still pump a very low speed
Pity you didn't have a drone with you, it would have saved you climbing the windmill.
UHF aerial looked a bit loose 😂
Climbed the windmill to get a lay of the land. Drone takes aerial shot....🤔🤨🧐

Always better seeing it through your own eyes not through the screen 😉👍🏼
Dream job🥳
The only landmark for 1000km is a 2m hole in the ground 😂
