One thing I like about Move is it's very spacious and practical. The dashboard and gadgets are simple and not cluttered. It still holds a high 2nd hand value in Malaysia despite being almost 20yrs old model.
You should come to Malaysia, we have the rebadge version of the Move which is the Perodua Kenari. Some car enthusiasts are crazy enough to swap in a 1.3 turbocharged engine or the L9 660 turbo. Either way, its an awesome car
I love how Toyota also owns and make Daihutsu kei cars. They should definitely bring it here in the US with turbocharger. Atleast 112 hp with the same 660 cc engine.😍😍😍
My favourite car of all time. Have one of this but not the original made from japan. We called this car in Malaysia is Perodua Kenari. We have to buy the Halfcut (UsedPart) imported from Japan the engine,bodyparts,etc.. Mine was convert to L900 Aeorodown. May i ask,how to import this car to my country?
I also have one of these in my country, it's rebadged as Perodua Kenari. The specs are different as well, the engine is a 1 litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated
I'd like to import a kei car like this to the states but I'm not familiar with the lineup of mid 90s super small cars of Japan. I would like it to be 4WD/AWD and Turbo Diesel. It has to be 25 years old to import. What would you recommend? Thanks!
Actually those seats fold down into the floor but you have to move the front seats forward quite a bit which doesn't work for Americans with long legs.
put in 'D' position & on the right hand side of the dash there is a 'Steer Shift' button when you press it this will activate tiptronic then you can control the gear with the (+ & -) button on the steering & the ODO meter will appear gear number position while you switch between gear. when you put to 'N' it will reset.
Maybe i'm a little too late to answer but that's not a knob, it's a little emergency torch that can also flickers and get other drivers attention in case if you need any help. If i'm correct all japanese cars that are made and sold locally there has them.
Tell us more about driving in Japan, Yokohama etc. What you are doing there? Context of car - mileage, costs, parking etc. Get that camera lady on-screen - she seems far more enthusiastic than you are? Be a bit more upbeat - "I don't want to bore you with the traffic" - I wasn't bored - I was loving it!
I had no idea Japanese allowed such old cars to be on the street. I would have thought they'd tax or regulate them into oblivion or something. at least in the cities. But as someone drooling over original Twingo and mk2 Hyundai Accent its sure nice to see old cars still being viable. Sidenote: WHY DONT WE (IN REST OF THE WORLD) HAVE ACCESS TO SUCH PRACTICAL LITTLE CARS??? (i mean last such european cars were the 2CV, Twingo and Renault 4)
Here in America pretty much the closest thing you can get to a kei car (that is relatively common) is a Scion xB. I have a 1st generation xB and love it for its ability to squeeze through tight spaces in city traffic
it is called the Scion xB in America, but, when I lived temporary in Japan, I ask for this type of kei car, but in Japan, this kei car is called: "TOYOTA bB", so technically, the SCION xB was originally by TOYOTA, called the "bB" (only in Japan & Europe) but in America, was sold as the Scion xB
Some of the k car's are cool . Do a engine swap hayabusa engine swap or 1.6 VTEC turboed could just image poeples faces when you whoop there ass in a k car
+TechnologyMafia Got one in my GTR, looks nice sadly navi doesn't work outside of Japan. Fun fact, Clarion used to call their car audio products Addzest but went back to clarion recently. Gotta love weird Japanese brand names!

hi, I'm interested in buying a car. Do you recommend a used car or new?
I love this! Does it also come with a manual stick? May I ask how much you've payed for this? Best wishes from Sweden :)
how is the performance with 4 people inside ?
I love your geometric carpet!
I wish we had these cars here in the U.S.
Awesome video! Are they reliable? Thinking about getting one, but worried about the turbo.
Hi ..how much Fuel consumption for this car in city and highway tq
i notice when i went to Okinawa that reverse beep is common... it was a bit annoying
I'd like to import a kei car like this to the states but I'm not familiar with the lineup of mid 90s super small cars of Japan. I would like it to be 4WD/AWD and Turbo Diesel. It has to be 25 years old to import. What would you recommend? Thanks!
i like the side cupholder
Me too, I buy this car because of that cup holder.. Lol

The seats fold almost completely flat? You call that almost completely flat?
Actually those seats fold down into the floor but you have to move the front seats forward quite a bit which doesn't work for Americans with long legs.

put in 'D' position & on the right hand side of the dash there is a 'Steer Shift' button when you press it this will activate tiptronic then you can control the gear with the (+ & -) button on the steering & the ODO meter will appear gear number position while you switch between gear. when you put to 'N' it will reset.

Love japans little streets, would love to live there looks cool
You weeb! Living in Japan means the whole package, including the crap. :) Make sure that you know what it is before you make such a dumb assertion.
Marry someone in the military and hopefully stationed there.
Are those things monted to the roof above the rear seats you see when you open the trunk speakers or something?
They are speakers, yes.
Hi what does the red knob beneath the glove compartment do?
Maybe i'm a little too late to answer but that's not a knob, it's a little emergency torch that can also flickers and get other drivers attention in case if you need any help. If i'm correct all japanese cars that are made and sold locally there has them.
Also a big window visor fan! Put a set on my R33 GTR.
+Stefan J I wasnt the biggest fan but living in Japan has changed my mind. I will probably put them on all of my future cars.
i love kei cars

LegendFay 55 That's an r34.

Very cool
Cool car! I thought it's expensive to own a car that's older than 10 years in Japan because it gets taxed at a higher rate than new cars?
Any possibility on an update about this car !!!
JUNWEI li No, I sold it! :( I miss that car though.
LOL I love kei cars, they look so funny. ...
Funny but with a good powerful engine
There was no “bakusimas” sound on reverse hmmm

I like this car
I don't know why you have so little subs, your videos are great!
Thank you! I never expected to even have 2,000 subs let alone the almost 5,000 I have now. It's all good!
+TechnologyMafia 5,000 crossed! Congratz broski!
+Drive By Reviews thank you sir!
How is it 50% more than the Gino bro ? The Gino probably is about 56 hp ...
Gino is 39hp.
And I thought my car was a box on wheels. LOL
As for this model, a custom was made by a basis.
Ini baru betul ada supercharger
I thought all the Americans like powerful big cars, anyway, it's a good video
Lol they do, maybe 10% of them drive kei cars. The rest are your standard Altezza, Nissan Cube, Honda Fit, or minivan drivers.

why you sold Toyota progress ?
It was time to buy something else, and I wanted to own a kei car for a few months.
3 piston engine
Some of the k car's are cool . Do a engine swap hayabusa engine swap or 1.6 VTEC turboed could just image poeples faces when you whoop there ass in a k car
Ps, all Pioneer car products are market under the Carrozzeria name.
I've owned pioneer radios in the US before and never seen that brand except in Japan. It's cool.
+TechnologyMafia Got one in my GTR, looks nice sadly navi doesn't work outside of Japan. Fun fact, Clarion used to call their car audio products Addzest but went back to clarion recently. Gotta love weird Japanese brand names!
日本人だけど知らんかった。ありがとう。
