That is a good point about the voices in the past being different than those of today When you think of all the famed singers from the past..Pons, ponselle, lottery Lehman, bids s.,rise Steven's, plus the wagering giants!! It takes you breath away what voices audiences had to chose from! I liked some of the more recent artists .Caballe,kiri, sills .though you could drive a team of horses thru some of her passages Shirley verette sang a fiery brandish from luccretizia Borgia that was exceptional And, of course, the incomparable DIVINA, Joan Sutherland What she endured for her voice made me shiver. I've heard a little of Natalie and, of. Course Anna singing the queen of nights aria Sounds like someone you don't wanna mess with! But my love for jeanette was what interested me in voices of the past. I don't believe was ever taken seriously about her voice and contribution to the musical world But then I've been under her spell since 1958 when I saw her on TV. Nice talking with you.
