If you're popping out of gear, it's most likely because you have bent the shaft. In that case you should adjust it but be aware that every time you bend it, it gets easier to bend again.
Hello The Pegues Way, My Outlander Max should arrive at the end of this month (November), and I'm taking notes. I've heard about the Can-Am ATV rock plus some owners have had shifting issues. Your video is helpful in that it gives me a clue if (and when) I have these problems. Thanks for your effort!
Did you also have the problem that when you had finished the setting and you moved the can am a bit and then it wasn't the same as before - That everything was in vain?
@@Leepegues just finished it up, I have way less skin on my favorite knuckles but it worked like a charm! Might have overdone it, now she fights me a little getting into park. I'll have to split the difference. Thanks man you rock!
Greetings... I have an BRP 850 Outlander, new with only 9 miles on it so far; it would not shift through the gears either without fighting it... However, I noticed upon pressing the [ACS / DPS / REV OR] button; WTH is that an Auto Clutch System? Yet, it smoothed out the shifts... Whatever the hell this confusing combo switch does or how it actually works, let me know, please? Thanks!
No auto clutch system! Are you having the most issues when machine is off! When your linkage is off it makes it really hard to shift into any gear! You have to rock and roll the machine to get it to shift! You might want to remove your plastics and see if your shifting plate is cracked
@@Leepegues Nothing cracked, all inspected with a bore scope. Air suspension lift / ACS? A non-existent system! I noticed when I pushed this mystery combo [ACS / DPS / REV OR] button, engine idling; the shifting improved drastically! I will show your video to my dealer; inspect / adjust if necessary... Thanks! This just saved me a lot of headache, mine is all the time popping out of low in mudd holes or wide open throttle skimming

Everything worked good afterwards
My biggest issue is it pops out when engine braking, going to try this tonight, I'll update you on how it goes

Did I have to slightly adjust it or was it a big adjustment?
It was a sight adjustment but I went the wrong way at first so I had to play with it for a good 30 min to get it just right l!
