I’ve also seen the item you described as a toothpick holder was used as cigarette holders for an after dinner smoke …( definitely from another era 😂) it would look cute with those after dinner mint chocolate sticks too.
The prices really have gotten high haven't they? Unless it's a discount day, I think you can find a lot of the pieces at rummage/garage sales for much less. PS. The pottery was my favorite :)
Hey Mary! Girl yes, these stores have lost their minds but actually it’s only on some things for whatever reason they think it’s valuable. But I can still find goodies at fair prices, I do enjoy the hunt! 😊😊💛
Loved that lamp! I could see it all cleaned & polished up. I would probably change the shade out to modernize it ❤ Also, I would thrift a lot too but I dont have a storage space for my extra decor 😔
So beautiful., we had these , alot of them in Cape Town, they go for high prices in England specifically, they are airlooms because tyou cant find auch craftsmanship and resources like this anymore, they are equestrian and renissance era 'antiquities' older generation of art qorm thats span about 100 to 250 years back., glass, sea o?products, brass, oak wood that been treated***, we love these type of items in Africa .....
You can Paint matting in the pictures you purchased. I found a lady on YT that inspired me to try it. Not a runny, watery paint though ❤ let us know if you try it. That way all of the matting will be the same color in that set

Have you tried rubbing alcohol to remove the marker? I agree with you about the increase in prices. I just went to the Hollywood locations today, and I also agree with the Amer Tft store being way too disorganized.

Dear Tricia! Hello! I've not seen your uploads for a long time (come on RUclips!) I'm sorry you missed out on the beautiful Enoch cups and saucers! Loved the green with the tiny bit of yellow. Gorgeous. Oh, the wheely basket! The Mexican pottery is fabulous. So pretty. That small straight sided brownish pot I would use for pens, pencils or paint brushes. You've found some amazing things.
