I recently uploaded a video of my 3 year old on balance bike. I did check out this electric bike when i bought his helmet and other gear. I am hoping to buy it for his 4th birthday or on Christmas. They seem super fun.
Nickel cadmium was the only battery tech that required running the battery down all the way before recharging. This was due to memory effect. Li-ion is used in most e bikes now. DO NOT make a habit of fully running down and fully charging li-ion unnecessarily as it will shorten the life span of the cells. With li-ion run 20%-80% for optimal lifespan. Don’t let sit for long periods of time at 100% charge and try not to ride below approx 20%.
Love hate: I have both 12 and 16, but both motors have gone out. 16 motor lasted not even 2 months. Idea is great, price point is decent, get your kids rolling is awesome, but the quality is not good. Wish the quality was better, had real foot pegs, and an option to purchase an upgrade to the forks to some type of suspension would make this product dynamite. I have almost every kids bike. Even though quality is bad, this is still best option to start early as possible Bikes to jump start things: Staycyc to learn basics. It's the low weight that is key. My youngest started at 2yr 4mo Oset 12.5 for basic suspension and get use to some weight. Both of my boys started riding this about 2yr 7mo. Oset MX 10 is money. Remove seat to make hair smaller than pw50. Destroys pewee in all things. Half the price of Husky. My youngest started riding this at 3yr 3wk. KTM/Husky E bike is king! Like the mx10 just another level past it. My older 4 year loves this over his Cobra. Linear power band, no rattles or sound lets your little ripper get dialed in quick. My oldest started riding this at 4yr 7mo. Electric is spendy but kids can get into the sport so much sooner than before. They will love, your wallet may hate, but the smiles make it worth it
Wicked cool. I have seen these at my local.dealer now seeing a video about em they do look awesome for starter bike. I wanted to see em in action. Sure looks great.
I bought 2 Apollo Sedna electric balance bikes. I was able to compare both side by side. The Sedna seemed much better built and has larger built in batteries.
Donald Liverance Lol, That's what i was wondering also.. Manufacturer Probably changed the battery track just a bit so your using their battery specifically.. Would be very convenient though
Initial response: Got this bike for my friend. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ Delivery was fast. And the friend was surprised I would order it when she had never suggested she wanted anything but the pedal bike she had. She has now ridden the bike two times and gives it a 10 and says it is very fun. We have some hills in our town that are very challenging to climb on a typical bike. But tonight she went up with the pedal assist and loved it. I was way behind on my standard bike, huffing and puffing. Now she is no longer lagging behind me. This thing is powerful enough that a person could go around town without any pedaling. She likes to get some exercise so on flat ground she hits the red button to turn off pedal assist and only uses the twist throttle when she's in a tough spot. The bike looks good. It is really a very nice bike for the friend. Now for me, when I get an electric bike, I'm twice her size and will be looking for a bigger watt motor and battery. But this one is just wonderful for my friend. I am happy with this purchase.
I am 14 years old, and looking to buy a mini bike. This video had some good information and I would like to buy your 12 in. Bike. No. I don’t have any kids. This bike is for me. And no, I am not that small. I just thought it would be fun to ride
Wish I had have shopped around before buying a stacyc, obviously they are the original and the concept is awesome... but... I have never owned anything so unreliable. Went well for about 6 months since have spent many hours and dollars to keep it running. Definitely don't recommend
Great bike concept, but this company is the worst when it comes to customer service. When a company has to make videos about how to change the fuse and motor when the bikes launch you know the quality is crap. $700+ for a paper weight after a year just when your warranty goes out. I’m
A brand new PW50 here in the states is like $1500 before taxes. The one I picked up for my son cost me around 2k out the door. These run about $700, so quite a bit cheaper. My 4 year old is having issues with his PW :(
It’s funny how info from 30 years ago nickel cadmium tech is still pushed today with li-ion tech. He says in video to run the battery all the way down before recharging. Not the optimal way with li-ion tech. The closer you keep li-ion to 50-80% the longer it will last. Battery university claims li-ion will last indefinitely at 80% charge.
I wish we had these when my kids were young.

Does Stacyc support our trails? I know Strider does. So does Rocky Mountain ;-)
amazing stuff
How fast for kids
250 charges isn't a lot. I wonder if they will ever improve on that
Are there other compatible battery's? Like DeWalt or Milwaukee
negative
Probably wouldn't be too hard to modify it to use milwaukee batteries since they are 18v. Dewalt has 20v I think.
Mini bike built off a dewalt battery dope
How it buy
Why would we ask for more

Me: GEAR S P E E D M O D E
I fail to understand how a pw50 is 90 lbs.🤷
amazing concept but far too expensive for what it is.
650 for he 12" ,It's like for free.

That fantastic, but at $1071aud plus shipping, I can buy a new pw50. Nevertheless, it’s cool and I wish I had one when I was a kid.

Batteries are shit! Using Dewalt conversion is cheaper and longer use of bike.

Dewalt conversion is a good idea since those batteries are cheap and plentiful.
Can you guys do a modern video with real measurements instead of primitive stones and sticks measurements please. 2021= metric system
Sorry, we are based in the United States and tend to use the Imperial System.
Thanks for checking out the video and leaving your feedback!
Soon kids are never going to need to use there legs for anything
Grab a mountain bike and a dirt bike and see what one leaves your legs hurting more at the end of the day it's just faster not easier
You've ever riden a dirtbike?
