Literally just done this job, you can get a new subframe from euro car parts for £240 and fits really well

Hi. I did what your doing to my R53 last year. The top control arm has a small bracket screwed to it that is connected to the level sensor ,it has a socket that the ball fits into . You have the 2 holes but no bracket .Hope this helps. I will enjoy watching your progress.

Which model of quickjack is that? Seems to work well

Hi There, I bought this one from Costco as they were on offer at the time QuickJack Portable Automatic Car Lift System Jack (2,268kg Capacity) - Model 5000TL. Best thing I've ever bought to be honest. Obviously a lot more expensive than a trolley jack and stands but I'm so pleased with them.

@@RichT53 ah so yours is the 5000TL, okay that sounds good thanks, I think the 2500 only runs on 12v, I assumed yours is mains? Sorry, loved the videos also! I did my r53 fuel tank strap the other day and it was horrendous without a proper lift

@@Phillc748 Cheers matey- much appreciated! Yeh I went with the 5000TL as I wanted to make sure I could lift heavier cars as well as the mini. The one piece of advise I would offer is to take your time when setting up as they don't come with the hydraulic fluid (so need some of that) and you need to connect & seal all of the pipes etc. I've been there before crawling around under a car so can imagine the tank strap was a mare especially when a bolt or something snaps 😏
