Tears can be so beautiful 😢, just like this song. Why cannot just one holiday overcome anger and prejudice and fear? Why not Christmas? I have several “adoptive” nieces and nephews who are estranged from their birth parents just because they are who they are. Not one of them is angry…just saddened. Your name says it all: Home Free. Thank you.
This made me cry. I sent it to my child and told them that I loved them no matter what and that I hoped they never felt like this. They are welcome home anytime. It doesn’t matter what they do or who they are, they’re still my kid.
I shared it with my mom. She cried too. We decided you can come have Christmas with us and we’ll give you great big hugs 🤗 (which we will give anyone freely) and feed you. 🤣 food is imported 🍝

Hugs Adam 3! I cannot fathom parents who fail their children for things they can't change. I barely blinked when my child came out, who cares, as long as they are happy, loved, and respected?
The day my daughter came out we were all sitting in the kitchen and she said it, her expression showed she was anticipating a horrible reaction. Her step-Dad & I just said okay. Of course it isn't the the life I had imagined for her but you can't help who you love. All I want s for her to be as happy as possible.
My kid is married. And their spouse is a phenomenal person! We’re THRILLED FOR THEM!

Men, you really know how to pull on the heartstrings. As a mom with a young LGBTQ+ child I could never turn my back on him and make him feel any less than the man he is. I love him with all my heart and there is nothing that would make me feel otherwise. Truley a beautiful song and message.

I'll admit I delayed watching this one because I knew it was going to hit really close to home and I had to prepare myself. I still wasn't prepared. I don't think that would've been possible. The video, the lyrics, and the harmonies all hit so hard. Nice to see that not only did Home Free get an amazing person and a great high tenor, but also one heck of a songwriter when Bastien rejoined. Can't wait to see y'all in Cherokee next month!!

One Voice with Billy Gilman made me sad-cry.... when the kid chose not to be a shooter and threw the gun in the river. This song made me ugly-cry. There was a time when I moved out (and came out only very shortly before hand) that I didn't feel comfortable in the same home as my parents. They didn't throw me out, but it was awkward to stay. Things are good for me now, but I know for so many people that this will never be the case.
As a sucker for punishment - I'm going to play this again now, and cry all over again too. I love Home Free - it's been ages since music made me feel this way.

This song is so beautiful, the words and the perfect music together is magic. Saw them tonight in concert in Dubuque. It was even more heartfelt live. Though I miss Austin Brown, Adam Bastien is a fabulous addition to the group. (and he wrote this song) It was one of the most enjoyable concerts I've ever attended.

I had simple but pleasant Christmas' growing up. Decorating a tree, family traditional foods, a visit with relatives, Christmas Stockings. I was astounded in talking to a daughter's friend's father when he described their annual holidays as drinking, fighting, people being hurt, misery...every year. ( Why even go???) A truce at Christmas is something even troops on different sides of a war sometimes manage.

I've listened to this song so many times, and it just is incredible and has me feeling a lot. This is one of those songs you feel in your heart and soul. I would never do that to my daughter. I'm still coming to terms with it.

This is amazing, and I love hearing some more Bastien. Tbh, something about your voice is similar to Chance. I don't mean tone or range, your voices sound totally different. But both have this like smooth, soothing quality to your vocals that brings the chills hard and I wanna just keep listening. A song with the two of you trading leads would be so awesome. (Not to discredit the other members, of course, I love all of you). But you couldn't have picked anyone better than Bastien after Austin left, that's for sure.
