@@trigger_core I mean, they're made out of a "living metal" with a genetic code, and in the first movie they're shown to be able to heal. Then, in the second movie, they hatch out of egg sacs. I don't think regular robots would do all of those things, but then again Sector Seven called them Non-biological extraterrestrials. I've thought about this too and it is kind of confusing

There is a scene in Transformers Prime where Megatron has blue eyes prior to the Decepticon and Autobot faction creation but once it's all created, his eyes turn from blue to red.
He also gets his purple eyes from dark energon
It had something to do with the Backstory of Prime. Megatron got jealous(maybe) of Prime's words. He was Orion Pax before being prime. Then he became a Decepticon.

You do know that Hasbro has linked transformers eye-colors to the same colors as the lightsabers from StarWars, right?
In 1984, initially all transformers were intended to all have yellow eyes. But somewhere during production of the cartoons, the decision was made to change the eye colors to make it easier to see what side they are on. And that are still keeping with that chart
Red = Raw Power like most decepticons and the Dinobots
Blue = Justice and Protection like most Autobots
Yellow = Intrigue and persuit. Characters like Thrust and the G1 Predacons
Grey = Calm and Clear. Characters like Beachcomber.
White = Obedience and service. Like drones and protoforms
Green = Peace through force, like Unicron.
Of course these are the Michael Bay Transformers, and Bay doesn't want to limit himself to established facts or lore. But overall in most other media, the Lightsaber table still holds for the color of a Transformer's eyes.

Eye colour chart is something Sunbow and Hasbro cooked up during the time of the G1 cartoon. This was used after it was decided to not give all the robot characters yellow eyes. It is not something set in stone, it is more of a guideline that is suggested. And is up to the production team of whatever project they are working on to follow or not. But it is a suggestion given by Hasbro with almost every new Transformers project started.
It has been suggested by people that Purple in lightsaber colours means the holder is on the edge of being good or bad, light or dark. Perhaps that is why Purple is the colour chosen on the characters that Quintessa brainwashes.

My interpretation: eye color is based on robot function.
Blue- construction/civilian roles (before war)
Red- military night vision
Green- older form of nightvision
Purple- unicron/dark energy corruption
Yellow- potentially neutral (in terms of function)
Edit: this makes sense to me since in most deceptions used to be part of cybertrons military and most autobots used to be civilians.

Not at all, the first one made 709 mil and the second made 836 mil, the third made the highest which is 1.124 bil and if it died afterwards the fourth one would be less then the first and second movie but the fourth was the second highest which made 1.104 bil so the series didn't die at all after the third movie.

Ok this is my theory on the eye color: Blue is the color of all pure-hearted (or in this case Sparked) Transformers, Red is the color of anger, rage, and hostility meaning that if someone enters this state their eye color turns red, Purple is the color of Unicron's blood also known as Dark Energon, and Green is the color of Synthetic Energon as shown in an episode of Prime.

Normal Cybertronian= White (light blue)
Autobot= blue (or red for dinobots and deceptions that turned)
Deception= red (or orange, yellow, lime green for constructicons)

Often purple eyes suggests that the bot consumed dark energon which would make sense with Quintessa being able to change optimus’s eyes since she is the herald of unicron, whos blood IS dark energon.
This is further supported by Transformers: Prime, when Megatron or Starscream consume dark energon their eyes turn purple. with the exception of Arachnid, who we do not see consume it, but she still has purple eyes, however she might have at one point consumed dark energon when she betrayed Megatron.

I grew up with Bayformers so I really hope Bumblebee is a prequel and not a reboot. If they want to go a different path, I hope that they link back to Bayformers somehow (alternate timeline by time travel or something like flashpoint)

I think in TFP, eye color could change due to extreme emotions as in the episode where Ratchet was explaining how optimus became a prime, there was a scene where Megatrons eyes went from blue to red after Optimus essentially upstaged him in front of a lot of important bots and took what Megatron considered to be rightfully his, which in this case, was the title of being a prime and things that would help him be a good prime, like the matrix of leadership for example. I think that was one of the smaller contributing factors in the war starting, as Megatron was extremely pissed at Optimus and the bots who gave him the title of Prime. Or at least that’s what I think. I’m not entirely sure if this is 100% accurate

I think in the Bumblebee movie the eye colors are tied to emotions, his eyes went red because he was in the mindset of a decepticon.
Here’s my theory on what eye colours mean in real life
1.blue eyes calmness
2.red eyes anger and hatred
3.green eyes bravery determination
4.yellow eyes happiness
5.orange eyes greed
6.purple eyes fear and sadness
7.pink eyes love
8.black eyes death
9.white eyes life alive and I’ve said this because that’s what all these colours mean

Well in G1 Autobots had Blue Eyes and Cons had Red Eyes with a few exceptions (G1 Thrust was red,so he had yellow eyes). On some series like Animated, there is the red/blue as an actual 100% rule but also Neutrals or unaligned TF are depicted with yellow eyes that change when picking sides or favoring one.
Bay movies dont follow any rule besides good>blue, bad>red and even then there are some exceptions and fuckups because let's face it,they don't care that much..
Green is in no way connected to neutrals, Lockdown has green eyes bc green was the most prominent color his original design had besides black. Ask anyone about OG Animated Lockdown, it's a black car with green stripes,same in robot mode).

It's already been stated and cleared up in ROTF. Drift, was once a Decepticon. His eyes are blue. More than likely they were always blue. Why? Jetfire eyes were still red although as he said "I sided with the Autobots!" His eyes didnt change from red to blue. So in closing. The eye color does not represent their faction.
Also like to note. That Quintessa's eyes are blue too. And she's known as the great deceiver. She is Solus Prime. If you know her origin then you will know that she killed Alchemist Prime. She became evil. Her eyes did not change.

I know that in the G1 cartoon and IDW comics the differents tones of blue mean the difference of their sparks (strong, weak, used) and the compatibility with the Matrix as well. And in the prequel comic for Drift, we are shown that he got his blue eyes when he was rebuilt by Circle of Light. And in the MTMTE that Megatron is built with red ones from the very beginning. Through I think color of the optics is more like a choice. But again I don't know if we can apply all of these to movies.

I think the camaro thing is something that remains from that time, + Bumblebee movie is wayy too inconsistent with the bayverse to really be part of it and still make sense

Roadbuster's visor is red in the film itself and Skipjack/Rampage also had yellow eyes in ROTF and the probable reason why he and Demolishor had that color was probably due to the animators wanting their eyes to standout from their primarily red heads, I don't think eye colors themselves are a faction thing, I believe that each individual chooses their eye colors on a personal choice kind of like what you said at the end of the video.
Also while Drift being a former Decepticon was a thing in the toy bio's and such, the films themselves have never confirmed this, and now you could just say that it not being mentioned in the films doesn't make it not canon but bio stuff has been retconned in later films for example Bumblebee's voice box was destroyed by Megatron (or Hardtop) on Cybertron but with the Bumblebee movie having Blitzwing do it himself on Earth, now that part might not matter now if Bumblebee is the start of a new universe but as you said in the video Bumblebee was meant to be a prequel film so it would of changed the story of Bumblebee's lack of voice anyways.
Bumblebee movie is not connected to the bay films for a few reason
1. It takes place around 1980 so that badass bee vs nazis would never happen
2. The end of the movie shows Optimus landing Optimus didn’t land intel the first movie therefore making them not connected and you can’t say time jump cuz he was still in the 1976 Camaro mode in the final scene, when in the first bay film he scanned is new Camaro before the Autobots landed
Therefore you point on toy bios being inconsistent is wrong cuz your only strong point aka the Bumblebee movie isn’t connected to bay films therefore making what you said obsolete

Plus Bumblebee would of been connected to the Bay films since it went into production as a prequel and probably would still be if TLK didn't do bad, your two points that you made were only added into the film much later, the original cut of the film did not have Optimus land on Earth at the end and the original opening was different so that Bumblebee probably could of fought the Nazis.
Toy bio's have never been canon for any of the Transformers media, never have been or do you want to believe that Ratchet rebuilt Jazz using an Allspark shard? And that's just an example

One two months really? The movie came out in December and if I remember correctly it is may two months would be February that gives him enough time to not be stupid and know just by watching the movie that it isn’t connect to the bay films.

The movie was always planned to be a spin-off and always planned to not be connected to the bay formers. It is a reboot and unlike the stupid ben 10 reboot it will do better than the original

You do know there is a deleted scene showing the original opening which has no Cybertron scene with Bee already on Earth which means that if they went with the original scene then not only would it make it a prequel but also allow the TLK flashback to happen, plus do you even know about the original cut for Bumblebee? The TF wiki has more info on that if you want to know.
Movie was planned to be a prequel, a spin off true but it was meant to be a prequel as it was announced as such and the movie was made up by the same writer's room that came up with TLK and other scripts, that's why Bee looks the way he does, that's why he loses his voice, that's why Sector 7 was in the film, that's why he scanned a Camaro at the end, I know it's a reboot now i'm not fucking stupid since I actually do my research and frequent the forums of sites like TFW2005 or Seibertron to make sure I actually know what I'm talking about, I don't jump to conclusions.
Lol the comics were never canon the filmmakers including Bay have said in the past that the comics don't matter when it comes to making the films and Aoe and TLK make them impossible to be canon anyways, the only thing that is canon to the movies are the movies themselves, the comics are secondary canon and are frequently ignored by the films.
I know G1 I grew up with it but Bayverse Drift isn't G1 Drift just like how Movie Ironhide and Starscream are not those characters, backstories of the G1 character's don't matter to the movies since they disregarded G1 so much, the origins of G1 matters if we were talking about G1 but we are talking about the films here.

Megatrcn’s eyes also change in the idw comics as when the relic he found shot beams into his mind turning his white optics red due to his growth in aggressiveness. Also in tfp, when his eyes turn purple, he hears voices and later becomes controlled while op eyes were turned purple due to quintessa. If you have green eyes you don’t follow anyone’s orders or have a preferred side. You choose the path that’s best for you in the long run

Blue- Autobot
Yellow- Wreckers (Subside Tops in LN)
Green- Morphed/Combination (For example, devastator from RotF or Lockdown from AoE)
Purple- Individual/Controller
Olive (ONLY IN MOVIES)- Warriors/Ancestors/Olden Time Knights
Of course these are what I always thought them as, but this guy's right about how it's hard to show them this way.

The reason for the redeyes could simply be that.. their in instant kill mode all the time as a rule to follow in the faction. Since instant kill comes with redeyes.
Some theories that lockdown's faction is called Mercenaries
I always saw it as: Since Cons are usually combat roles and military. Cybertronian Military and Combatants are Red. While all the blue collared workers and civilian cybertronians are Blue. Green is probably just ones that instead that took the colour of energon(which is usually green). Purple is Dark Energon/Evil.

I thought about it, what if they have eye color by their creator? 🤔This would explain why everyone has a different color. As if one had yellow eyes and invented that Autobot so he should have the color of his eyes after him

In G1 autobot logos are red, and decepticon ones are purple (these color themes are used a lot in War For Cybertron and other similar to it games)
