2020 Corvette C8 Mirror Cover Cap Removal and Replacement

- A few days ago my Dad and I were looking over the forums trying to figure out how to replace the mirror covers on our Corvette C8. However we couldn't find anything. After figuring it out on our own C8 we decided to make a video of a mirror cover on our own car to help people out. Huge thanks to 404 Parts for making such a great product by the way!

There is a much easier way to do this without removing the glass. You can see the clips and get to them with a long pick tool. Just push the glass down start with the outer corner clip, pry down and push the plastic toward the front. Keep holding the plastic with a little tension and release the second inner clip. Then the lower outer clip will release and push toward the car for the others.
I'd like to do the same but with real carbon fiber covers. Would you or anyone know where I can buy direct replacement carbon fiber OEM type mirror covers. Thanks. BTW if you want to sell me the red ones you removed let me know.

Not sure why u just didn’t order the car with black mirrors. It is a $100 upgrade!
We thought the red mirrors looked better in the pictures. But when we got the car we thought the carbon flash mirror would be a better fit. Sometimes you just don't know what you want until you see it in person. 🤷♂️ Plus you have to get the carbon flash spoiler when you get the carbon flash mirrors, and we wanted a body colored spoiler so we had to go with the red mirrors

Got the spider. Same colors exactly. I have been struggling on the black mirror and spoiler option. I really think the spoiler looks better red and the mirrors in black. Good job
@@kosma30 Thanks! We've got some more plans in the future when it comes to the wing and the ground effects. Don't want to say anything too soon but it shouldn't dissapoint!
