Lisbon: A City of Art and Music

Video of my visit to Lisbon from the 10th to the 14th of November 2022. We stayed in a small apartment in the old Alfama neighbourhood, where we could enjoy the local culture, food and people. Visiting this city was like visiting several completely different ones. The old and beautifully messy vibe of Alfama had nothing to do with the big squares and monuments of Chiado, which were completely different to the smaller town feeling that Alcantara and Belem give, and to the futuristic Parque das Nações.
On top of the diversity of the city, I loved how alive it was. All terraces were constantly full of people enjoying the good weather and chill lifestyle, and every now and then we would cross some piece of very elaborated pieces of street art or musicians that gave a very unique vibe to this city, together with the world-famous trams and steep streets.

I recorded all of these videos with a Poco X3 Pro smartphone and edited it with DaVinci Resolve 18. I used a few sound effects from freesound.org, music from uppbeat.com and canva.com for the thumbnail. I experimented going deeper into colour grading by using the RGB mixer to correct the colour of particularly yellowish low-light shots and the vector scope visualizer to fine-tune those corrections as well as helping my fine-tuning the warmth of the clips.
