Your intros always crack me up! Anyways, I never read the book, just watched the movies. That said, that cover is gorgeous, and the premise does sound very different. When you mentioned the corporations vying for biotech, it made me think of the beginnings of a cyberpunk-ish story. Sounds very different overall and a fun read! Thanks for sharing!
Always wanted a more novel accurate adaptation and i can't wait to see more progress on evolvedino's project that aims to make that wish more of a reality, the guy is making a soundtrack, scripts, art, and 3D digital dioramas. And honestly it looks awesome so far.
Yes, you totally missed Grant's take on things in the book. He likes kids a lot in the book. His train of thought is along the lines of "How can I hate a group of people that love my work so much".
5:43 What is this picture... lol It was a great read and I completely agree that each is great for their own reasons. I do give the movie a bit of an edge though, but it's close. The Lost World book, however, is so much better than the movie. I would definitely appreciate your insights on that. And Dragon Teeth as well. I need to read more of his stuff in general. I read the Lost World back when the movie came out, but I didn't read Jurassic Park until last year. I already have a few in my TBR. The movies based on his works have been some of my favourites and I find it interesting to see how they adapted them.
Crichton has so much more work besides Rising Sun ( I honestly haven’t read that one though ), but from what I’ve heard, it’s not as good as his others. Jurassic Park is also an absolutely incredible novel, you definitely should read it
4 minutes in and just started talking about the book. Paaaaassssssssss. Make better video's. Get to the point. No one wants to sit here and listen to you talk about what we already know and what you've done the last few weeks.
the book is why I can no longer watch the movie without wishing it was the book. It's SOOOOOOO much better.

I read this book once a year
I watched the movie in '92 in 6th grade and was fascinated. Read the book in '94 in 8th grade and couldn't sleep for a few days i was so horrified
The movie came out in 93 😭
@@HKSFangirl bah!!! you feel better about yourself? Who fuckin cares?!? Bah!!!
had a similar experience in 7th grade with The Andromeda Strain
Chrichton is amazing
Read The Andromeda Strain
Great Review! I read "Prey" a while back and liked it. This one is going on the TBR
Overall I need to read more Crichton haha I have heard Sphere is an amazing book
@@BiblioTheorySphere is an incredible book, if you liked Jurassic Park you’ll love Sphere

Haha just Alan and Malcom... You don't remember that??
Jk 🤣
Yes, I need to read more Crichton absolutely 🙌
The first adult sized novel I ever read. Five out of five Muldoon mustaches
Now this is the scale to use for reviews 🤣
The Wolf’s hour is still my
favorite book.
It's a great book
If you're getting back into Crichton, you'll want to read Prey. I liked it better than Congo (haven't read Jurassic Park yet... it's on my TBR).
Prey is my next Crichton read! 🤯
How did the trex get our of its enclosure? Iykyk
I love this book. 🎉
Maybe I'll give Jurrasic Park a try. Was disappointed by Chriton's other book Rising Sun, and ended up DNFed it.

The books way better
So much detail about the park in the book, loved reading it
Can we all agree book Lex is awful though? 😅 so whiny!!!
She is like 7 or 8 years old in the book to be fair lol.
As a parent of a 7 year old girl, it felt legit to me.
🦖🦕🦖🦕🦖🦕
We need more Dino emojis!!
