Comparing Rattie to Glazers is nonsense indeed. But raising ticketprizes and sacking loyal staff is not the way to go. This is not a company but a football club at heart. But for a business man cutting on the business side of things does not make sense.
We're losing money every year. Even without any debt payments....we are losing a lot of money every year. So the choices are, reduce our outrageous "other operating costs" by getting the staffing numbers right and the other cost-cutting stuff, or take on more debt, or massively reduce spending on the team.
Yes but the issue is is that INEOS have come in and the facts are there wasn't any need for them to come in, we would have got bought by somebody with the actual funds to sort the debt out. They could convert the debt into equity, but it will depend on the debt conditions and terms, it is probably not straight forward. Plus if early repayment, possibly early redemption costs to pay them off. They could certainly explain the position.
The $425m bonds mature in 2027. You can pay them off early, but you still pay all the interest you would have done and you bring those interest payments into this years accounts. The $250m loan is different, that can be repaid anytime without penalty. SJR can't pay those debts off with a loan, because shareholder loans have to be at market rate, and the interest rate on the bonds is lower than that, so we'd be worse off. And the rate for a shareholder loan to pay off the bank loan would be about the same as we're paying, so no better off. And converting that debt to equity isn't possible. IF that debt was a loan that SJR had made to the club he could (if he was happy to just throw away money) convert it to equity....but that's not the case.
Amorim is spot on. Nobody is bigger than the club and the best managers demand 100%. If a player can't work as hard as everyone else. He's out. Simple.
I see what you're saying about Hojlund but I think the problem is that he's being coached now and hasn't adapted and learned what Amorim wants yet. There would have been no sale at all if it wasn't for SJR. By the July it was over, there was going to be no sale. Thankfully SJR found a way to get around the A shareholders problem.
If what I understand is correct. He's CM or AM, decent creativity, passing and ball retention. He's comfortable using both feet, which is always a plus, and 6ft tall, too. Amorim tends to use a creative alongside a 'winger' in the AM roles. And a box to box or play maker alongside a destroyer in the holding midfield roles. Nypan could develop in either the playmaker or creative roles. He'd be a good signing, and price. I'd be disappointed if he didn't at least come 'visit' United while in England. I'd be happy with him, Cherki or Dibling coming to United inthe summer. But we'd still need a more experienced AM and DM, too.
When I read through these comments I do wonder how many brain cells some of our fans truly have. We have been haemorrhaging money season after season. We have mercenaries that would rather sit on the bench to keep their enormous weekly salaries then move on and play elsewhere and we now have PSR to worry about. We are not going to get European football next year which means no European money and the adidas deal also pays less without European football too. The same fans that complain about the cost cutting are also the same fans that want a completely new stadium and are complaining that we aren’t spending money in the transfer market. You say don’t call you stupid, but you give us no real choice with your complete lack of common sense. Trimming staff that may have been beloved but whose jobs were obsolete is just business sense. Ticket price rises were inevitable
We currently don't have anyone better than Amad at RWB. I kinda wish we could use Dalot there, as RB is his natural position. But we have nobody at LWB either, so he's filling in there! 😅🙈😅 Not sure Dalot will be better at RWB than Amad, but he'll be better there than on the left. Ideally we bring in Frimpong for the RWB, and Alvaro + Dorgu for the left. That gives us depth, as Dorgu and Amad can cover/rotate on the right. With Mazraoui filling in if needed, but focusing on CB. Are you aware of any academy players who might fir the RWB role?
We can say Hojlund might be a coaching issue when it comes to the runs he makes and/or why he's touch tight etc.... but you cannot blame coaches for not having a good first touch, a basic 5 yard pass and just simple basics of the game. He is a poor football player, unfortunately.
It will stop when the club, management and also fanbases are ended their idealism and favouritism towards "academy graduated" players... My honest opinion is simple... It sucks
Rashford is getting 325k for only putting in half a per cent can't blame him money for nothing living the high life how does the club expect to sell him if he's not playing stupid attitude
Sir Jim will never get 51% of this club it’s a pipe dream. Shouldn’t of gotten into bed with them in the first place and left them with a full sale or nothing at all option they would of panicked and sold but now we are stuck with the glazers
Ratcliffe has been disappointing- some of the cuts especially work connected to local communities, women’s game and charities are fools gold. This is taking the Manchester out of United. If he thought it through a more philanthropic approach could well come up with ideas to do it differently. Eg expand charitable arm to do more offset costs while benefiting local communities, fan share buying option
We all want a good, happy environment for our academy players 2 come in n flourish, but has there ever been such an environment in these last 10/12 years. Fergie managed to bring in 5, all in one season, but that was fergie.
Because he has skills and talent but he decided to tool down his talent. His ego got better of him. He can go there them leagues where he can paid without getting too much pressure
He Is right since he is professional the players should be like that who are as the professional they should do working hard in order to bring about such a progress in their football carriers❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
For any United fans over thier in the USA any viewings of the Glazers if your truly United fans start calling out these leeches those Glazers have got to GO!!!🤬😡😤
Amorim was wrong for his comments on Rashford. I genuinely think he has lost it in regard to how he has handled this. He's supposed to be protecting the players, he even said he would. Why then is he doing this to Rashford?
Managers protect players who give their best to the club. I guess Rashford has been over protected and he has abused it and think he’s bigger than the anyone else in the club.
I love Amorim but it's such a shame that one of our best players, who has worked so hard to get where he is now, has been seemingly shut out of the team he loves. Maybe we can get him back somehow because like it or not we need him
What reaction Garnacho see that he dld mot see from Rashford? He is just making a personal pitch tp shift focus away from the poorer perfomance with the same players than Ten Hague. Tell the player how he should train. Nobpdy believes that Rashford is worse than Rssmus or Zirkzee on anyday.

Where would Nypan play in Amorim's system? Havne't seen much from him so curious.
'Have a photograph guys' how deluded is he.
utd's second goal was the line for offside curved?
use one of the u21 squad, as striker for 10 mins
I think Nkunku could be a great loan. He's explosive when fit.
Look like Sam’s Ineos cheques have cleared then.
Amorim has further devalued Rashford with those comments. Now he's gonna be even harder to get rid of. No club wants a bad trainer
but rashfor is more motivated now to leave
C'mon Ole , Take Casemiro! lol
I don’t want Amad playing wingback it hinders his game
We need a new Right wingback or promote someone next season
We currently don't have anyone better than Amad at RWB.
I kinda wish we could use Dalot there, as RB is his natural position. But we have nobody at LWB either, so he's filling in there! 😅🙈😅
Not sure Dalot will be better at RWB than Amad, but he'll be better there than on the left.
Thoughts on Martinez playing DM?
We can say Hojlund might be a coaching issue when it comes to the runs he makes and/or why he's touch tight etc.... but you cannot blame coaches for not having a good first touch, a basic 5 yard pass and just simple basics of the game. He is a poor football player, unfortunately.
top earners: rashford and casamiro
Looks like are striker is marking the def
that's why zirkzee is coming on
Jose and Pogba
ETH and Sancho
RA and Rashford
when this stops?
It will stop when the club, management and also fanbases are ended their idealism and favouritism towards "academy graduated" players... My honest opinion is simple... It sucks
Do a Rael Madrid, offer £20m+
Rashford is getting 325k for only putting in half a per cent can't blame him money for nothing living the high life how does the club expect to sell him if he's not playing stupid attitude
Even Antony the goat found an interested club. Even if it is on loan. Rashford got none.
But Sam you supported Ineos to take Over Remember???
Sir Jim will never get 51% of this club it’s a pipe dream. Shouldn’t of gotten into bed with them in the first place and left them with a full sale or nothing at all option they would of panicked and sold but now we are stuck with the glazers
You should have stumped up the $7billion if you wanted a full sale.
SJR will get all the Glazers shares. They wanted to sell, they still do.
glazers are in charge , radcliffe is puppet master and all the fan base are puppets on a string lol
4 wins out of 5 means were in good form right?.........
We all want a good, happy environment for our academy players 2 come in n flourish, but has there ever been such an environment in these last 10/12 years. Fergie managed to bring in 5, all in one season, but that was fergie.
Rashford deserves Turkish/Spanish league that’s his level.
Equating those two leagues shows you have no knowledge of what you're talking about 😂
Because he has skills and talent but he decided to tool down his talent.
Why then is he doing this to Rashford?
doing what to rashford? his explanation was abstract, nothing personal
‘Rashford has been a problem for every manager’ Andy Mitten (most trusted Man United journalist)
Wake up!
Managers protect players who give their best to the club. I guess Rashford has been over protected and he has abused it and think he’s bigger than the anyone else in the club.
ferguson to utd loan?
maybe dolly parton?
obi martin too young, maybe 10 minute slot
If Jim didn’t come in the glaziers would be gone.also he’s done a lot wrong a lot
Lecce playing bottom 4 in next month, lets hope they loose
I love Amorim but it's such a shame that one of our best players, who has worked so hard to get where he is now, has been seemingly shut out of the team he loves. Maybe we can get him back somehow because like it or not we need him
What reaction Garnacho see that he dld mot see from Rashford? He is just making a personal pitch tp shift focus away from the poorer perfomance with the same players than Ten Hague. Tell the player how he should train. Nobpdy believes that Rashford is worse than Rssmus or Zirkzee on anyday.
