- Hawaiian Sweet Rolls are great for sandwiches or any occasion. These Protein Sparing rolls taste amazing and are super easy to make!
Normally I don't ever add the dry ingredients to the egg whites before whipping them as you typically get bread that is more like Styrofoam. But I got the idea to add it from Carnivore's Angel on her RUclips post making a version of my protein sparing bread. With this recipe it works great! Check her channel out here: / @theangelsjourney

Love Amy Bellinder’s variation of your recipe! So cool that you shouted out @carnivore’s angel’s channel here! You are an inspiring woman and so generous! I made these for a December bday party and keto and non keto family members liked them! Mine didn’t stay as round and pretty but they still tasted great! Also, didn’t have the pineapple flavoring but they still tasted good. Amy also has a more decadent take on your bread…a cinnamon bun….that is crazy wonderful. Mahalo! And Happy New Year! ~ Steph

Just made this, without the extract. Excellent. A nice, no guilt way to have “bread”. Was lazy, just used parchment Lined 9x13 pan and sliced into 12 square buns. Thank you1

I see now how. To add extracts, add them in with the egg yolks after the egg whites are whipped. I have a whole collection of extracts

They are good, but not sweet like Hawaiian bread. I think a different sweetener would make them sweet. I like the texture, but I will try a sweeter sweetener instead of allulose. Nice recipe though. I will taste them again tomorrow to see if they are sweet when they have sat for awhile. Thank you for your contributions. You are such an inspiration to us all.
I love your easiest PSMF bread recipe. It’s so good and is almost foolproof. Even for someone that doesn’t bake much at all (like me)! Hard for me to want to have to separate all those eggs now.

I must have been channeling you! New Year’s Eve day I made these exact rolls!!! I used them to make smash burgers! They were so delicious…I made the smash burgers again on New Year day to finish up the rolls! 😆

I made these today. I sprayed my scoop I didn’t have to wipe it or clean it out it disshe out all of the mounds without re-spraying. It was so nice mines a size 12 scoop made them a little smaller

I would love it if you could add how much liquid egg whites you are using in your recipes.. I live in Canada and a carton of eggs here is typically around 6$ so I prefer to use the liquid in a carton. Results worksout the same for me. Thank you and Love your recipes

The reason it was sticking so much is because what’s on the outside. Try to scoop without getting so much of the batter on the outside

No, the protein powder is what gives it the bread texture. But you can dry your own egg whites to make your own egg white powder if you want. :)

How do you store these rolls?
In fridge for up to a week or so. In freezer for longer.
I tried these and when I add yolks I lose the fluff. Someone said it was due to the humidity? Is this true?
It’s the fat in the yolks, mix just till incorporated.
That is why I moved away from adding the yolks back in in my original recipe from 10 years ago. It made the bread shrink more. So I omitted them to gt a more consistent bread that didn't shrink as much. But some like the taste and texture better. Here is my original recipe with the yolks:

The whites will deflate *slightly* due to the fat, but keep going. Just add in one yolk at a time on low speed just until each is incorporated. And be sure to whip your whites to the stiff peak stage. I was not whipping mine stiff enough in the beginning. The whites should start looking "chunky" on top. I figured it out by watching Indigo Nili's videos where she shows what to look for.
Did you add the dry ingredients before you started beating???? Did it make the bread styrofoam?
