I’m an atheist (keep your boos, folks), former born again Christian. I find it very hard to relate to preachers and pastors, I detest their condescending sermon tone (not all but vast majority). I find Mr. Ross to be extremely relatable, extremely educated (well, duh), and extremely convincing. My disagreements with his conclusion do not come from cosmological arguments (I’m not qualified, very few of us are), but from biblical literary perspective. But if I were to pick a person or a way to get me convinced, I would take his approach.

Noah having 120 years doesn't mean he took that long. 2. Noah could have hired hundreds of workers to help him build the ship 3. 1 Peter 3 says that Noah was a preacher of righteousness. The 120 years was probably time he needed to warn people that they needed to repent (leaving town would have prevented that). 4. 1 Pet. 3 says that the flood is a picture of baptism which now saves us (vs. 21). Because his building the ark was a testimony to those in his generation. He was acting as a prophet. A prophet can't hide from the people. Remember when God created man HE created him complete and his age 30 or so. Same with Earth. HE created Earth with mature vegetation and animals. So not surprised that it's measurements would indicate fullness of time. Yet created in the blink of the eye.

Radiometric Dating/Carbon Dating methods are still unreliable, they give many different calculations (when we test objects of known age, these methods do not line up with reality). To be reliable, Radiometric methods must be testable and confirmable, they just aren't.

The theory of general relativity: the universe began at a “singularity” (Big Bang) where all matter, energy, space, and time came into existence at an infinitely small point and expanded outward from there. Space-time Theorems recognizes the union of space and time. General relativity has been proven to be true. The universe has mass, and the universe is expanding. Thus the universe had a singularity/Big Bang/beginning.
The Bible is the only Holly Book to tell us the universe is expanding. Jer. 51:15 as it is the Word of God. Only Holly Book to say the universe had a beginning. Only Holly Book to say the Time had a beginning (2 Timothy 1:9). The Bible, a old book, got it all correct ! Proof it is God’s Word.
