It looks like you guys arent using four percussionists. Were doing this at westfield high in march with four. Oh, and we take different tempos for the slow section... :S
Why should we take our most interesting peice for this concert and tell half of our percussionists not to play? Good for you if you're only using four.
So I ask this out of mere, genuine curiosity, does your guys' piano player know how to read music and/or accidentals? Maybe we can blame the audio quality of the video camera but it sounded a lot like the piano player hit maybe one right note for every fifteen played?
lol...how i loved playing this peice
OMG...i love gillingham
i'm quite impressed. my band did this last year and its a tought piece. good job.
ooh! good job!

well actually now that honor band auditions are over (i made it =D) im playing the piece for percussion ensamble...
so im playing the first 3 pages of this for an honor band audition (solo percussion 2 part)....any suggestions or advise?
I have to give you credits because you're a High School playing this music. There were some parts that sounded a bit weird, but all in all, not bad.
The part is meant for one player. It's pretty hard. LOTS of practice.

its better to play with one...it probably sounds cooler
mhmm... was it hard?
the tempo was REALLY off. some parts were too slow, others were WWAYYYY too fast. and nice low brass
meh we were ok =P
some parts were good some were bad
I guess she hit a note for every note written in the music, but she definitely didn't hit every note correctly...
