What a very nice video and I think the barbs selected in this video are sensational. I too enjoy barbs and have kept no less than half of the ones mentioned. I enjoyed a good look at the Pethia Setnai as well, as I didn't realize their common name was Indigo Barb. I've only seen them referred to by various home breeders as Setnai. I have purchased from the Wet Spot a few times and I am very happy with the fish I received. If I ever made it to Oregon, I think the only place I would really like to see / visit is the Wet Spot.
Filament barbs, Odessa barbs, and mascara barbs are the ones I wanna keep some day. I’ve definitely noticed the increase in deformities with the Denison barbs aka roseline sharks the past couple years, the most common being with the curved spines. Then there’s the ones with the tail deformities where the tail fin is short and doesn’t have the yellow and black dots, and then there’s color deformities where they have a piebald-ish look to them.
When I was a kid, I kept cherry barbs, gold barbs and mirror barbs, which don't get enough respect. They eqal cherry barbs. W.S. has them sometimes. Gold barbs were developed sometime before 1960 by Tom Schubert of Camden ,New Jersey He was in my club ,South Jersey Tropical Fish Assn.,unfortunately defunct, That is why they are sometimes called schuberti barbs.. P.. setnai is the one I would get if I had more tanks set up.
I just watched your video on tank mates for rainbow fish from a few years ago and I have almost everything you recommended before watching it. I have Cory’s otocinclus appistos and cardnial tetras with my sunset dwarf rainbows. Found it funny we had similar ideas.

This video deserves far more likes. There are barb species here that I don't exist and I'm loving them. Thank you for uploading this 🥰🥰
I enjoy these videos. It's fun seeing fish I've never seen and might want to keep one day. The Wet Spot has such a large variety of fish.

Barbs really are so pretty. Some are a tad too zippy for me, but I still appreciate them. Thank you for all of the detailed info on each type.
