One player picks consonant or vowel 9 times, each letter drawn at random and then the players have 30 seconds to try to come up with the longest word. Dirty words have come up completely by accident before but if it's especially bad they'll replay it and it won't air. 8:57 Happens sometimes on that show. But it kinda makes sense strategically if you get to the last round you want to have someone one who you think will be easier to beat. But at the same time a better player can help you get more money in the pot. And the last millionaire one: Moral of the story make sure you're well rested before you go on a game show. Or THAT could happen to you and don't rush. I've seen another one many years ago from a college week, this girl was actually on a decent run at the $8,000 level they asked what sports term is used for a breakfast menu item at Denny's restaurants? She said "Slam Dunk final answer" right away and then realized....Oops! She actually starting crying. A bit of trivia: they put that "final answer" thing in during development cause their was so much money, the network was afraid someone would try to sue claiming "I didn't mean to say that". Under the rules and legal copy you sign when you say "final answer" your committed to it.
Just recently right before Pat Sajak retired , Some guy buzzed in And blurted out what he thought the answer was which he was incorrect and he said "Something you put in your butt" Not only was that NOT the answer but it literally pissed Pat Sajak off ! I've never seen him get mad like that !
