It seems if the stock 3.8 can take this much power, a good wet nitrous kit could also be a good reliable alternative. Especially if you're not needing the power for majority of the time.

yes. you can retain the fog light if you don't want to use the tank. normally C38-91 makes little more boost than C38-81. if you are considering more than 450whp with forged internals in the future, you may go with C38-91 if not, C38-81 is enough. it also can make around 400~420 without forged internals. (BK2/MT based)
If I am planning to run a custom tune from alpha speed, once I install the SC kit, do I need to run an aftermarket ecu, or will it it work fine i’m the stock ecu?

Depend on the driver's driving characteristic. I saw some customers who have our kit more than 5 years without troubles. they drive the car for daily purpose, they just change the supercharger oil and belt for every year. but someone ruin the kit or engine some weeks later after installing the kit. frequent high RPM driving will make the car unreliable.

almost the same, but more easier than BK1 setup, you don't need to change the injectors and fuel pump it can save at least 3 or 4 hours for the guys who never replacing both.
It was pretty easy. I got lost a few times and had to email them. There’s a time zone difference so I usually had to wait a while. I still ended up modifying 2 brackets. Also went with a braided oil dipstick. Don’t bother with the washer fluid reservoir- your fog light won’t fit. Just buy a can to put somewhere else. Took me about 5 days doing it in my off time. Helps to have 2 people for the hard piping install. The blow-by wasn’t very clear. There isn’t instructions on routing or adjusting your reclaim air from the blow off valve.

Whats the pros and cons of going for a supercharger vs a turbo in the 3.8?
The supercharger is a system based on a naturally aspirated system, and it has the advantage of steady torque without turbo racks like the genuine. In case of the turbo, a high torque like a speedy and powerful punch is an advantage. However, since you have to use a high boost from the initial setup, the maintenance cycle is short and expensive. When it comes to initial setting costs, normally the turbo is expensive, but it can have a high potential to produce higher horsepower once set.
In the case of a supercharger, the initial cost is low but if you want to more boost and the horse power, entire system need to be changed from the air cooling to water cooling hence the cost is more expensive than turbocharger.
In case of our products, maintenance is very simple and self-maintenance is possible. The most important point is the maintenance cost, but our product has a short maintenance time due to its simple structure, therefore the maintenance cost is also low. Both have advantages, so please set the chargers in the direction you want.

Could your super charger be put on a fully stroked 4.2L bk2 genesis. If so how much power gains would you think it would get
We didnt test for 4.2L before. If your engine is the same as mpi based you can use more than 10psi boost. Technically It will make at least 550whp based on our test. 9psi with forged internals gains 505whp for bk1 mpi.
@@dtozperformance7077 hmmm. For stock internals isnt bad it probably wouldn't last very long, but I'm guessing with a tune through alphaspeed stand alone haltech ecu on stock internals maybe able to last as a fun daily enough to gap these v8's. Thanks again, for the knowledge.

how much more whp gain with the rotrex c38-91? GDI 3.8
If you have BK2 C38-91 can gain a little more horse power for stock engine. but if you consider to have forged internals, you should have C38-91.

Meanwhile my customers fbo e85 100 shot nitrous 3.8 would slap this all day and cost way less than this kit. Hopefully someone who buys this builds their engine so they can actually make decent power from it
