This is going to be the closest Olympia, that I can remember. Nick, Derek, and Hadi are bringing it. If Samson brings shredded glutes, he’s a problem. Andrew has made significant improvements. Hunter has made significant improvements.
No one is beating Derek for a few years without drastic improvements/changes .. the real battle is going to be for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place spots/trophies. Andrew Jacked, Samson, Hadi, Hunter, Nathan if he can get a visa and actually comes for the show and a few other guys along with Nick will all be battling for that 2nd to 5th / 6th place spots this year. The reality is, Derek has better shape, size, symmetry, no visual Injuries, way better mid section, poses better/ tans better, his conditioning is better than everyone for how big he is ect. There isn't anyone in the ifbb currently that can beat him when he is on point. Being a mass monster ect like Nick is doesn't get you a win anymore. People and judges want to see symmetry, shape, flow, conditioning, how well they pose and also have the size to stand next to guys who are just mass monsters like Nick, Samson , Krizo ect

If you think Derek has the better conditioning then you don’t even know where you’re standing right now. Only thing Derek has over everyone is back. Aside from that? Front shots? No. Side shots? No. Back poses? Back double is nutty but his arms need to be bigger with better separation.

He might, but it will be tough. It's not about what these guys can lift though. Different guys respond to different weights differently as opposed to other people using them. That said, Nick is very strong. There are several guys bigger than him though. We'll see how he looks though. He grinds hard that's for sure.
