Good job! Just came across your videos a few months ago and now have watched a lot of your videos and i love how you explain everything from knots to cuts and the different forces thats going on. Cant wait for more from you
… you have way more knowledge and experience about forces and techniques, so respect. Yet with your bowline… the pinch and twist technique… going to try to find a link… idk… it will pop up real quick in a search, yet can be tied one handed, and always gives the rabbit up the hole(loop over hole) so all that is left is getting it around the tree and back down.
cross the tail over top the running end. Pinch at the cross, twist the tail under/into the loop created. Than around and down. This guarantees that you get your loop over, or that the bowline gets tied correctly… an old trick from Brett Blanchard at the boat school in Eastport Maine
22:51 I think it came back because of over pulling on the tag line. Right.? It made the tip hit first allowing some spring back... as opposed to the second big limb that was allowed to float out and drop more evenly. Idk. I'm just trying to analyze and learn. 😅
The hinge held on and the notch was wide enough to allow it to come over. If it comes of the hinge, the butt will hit first and the line pull slacks out.
Amen brother! I am certain that the guy up above will show some love for the good deed. Trees have been a massive part of my journey let me tell ya. Freakin crazy looking back at my life, and all the stuff that helped me to open my heart and mind.
^😍 Very well said. Learning to trust your gut is quite the journey. Learning to listen to when getting scared up there instead of getting mad at oneself is where I am at on this journey. Stoked to have you guys posting stuff to help me along. Many thanks for sharing your knowledge and work. It is a massive help.
I wear the camp tree access XT. I tagged it on this video and yes, I climb in it and it doubles as a lift saddle as well. That way I can climb out of the lift when I want to.

👍🏻 thanks I’ll pin your comment 😃
So sad to see all these ashes dying. Pretty much everyone in my block has dead ashtries. Luckily I treated mine so mine are doing okay
Great video 📹 👍 👏 good early morning 🌄 watch ⌚ 😀, I like the comments I learned from it. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for stopping by
What is FOI's stance on the genocide in Gaza? They seem to be quite mum on their website and social media.
I wouldn’t be able to speak to that directly. There are difficulties in all sides of that situation. It is evident there is evil in this world.
Amazing what one finds on RUclips when not really looking.
😃 thanks for stopping by😃
Thanks Kevin! I learn something every video. I am a firm believer that every tree has a teachable moment.
It seems that way😃 thanks! Glad you are getting some take aways👍🏻

You work on that one handed method and get back to me with how you’re doing😂 my late friend Jon Herzog could do that😃

Imagine that. A thrown chain on an echo.
😂
Wisconsin, ash tree that just died. Must have been treated last several years. Ash borer destroyed them years ago.
And you’d be wrong and not well traveled. There are many ash trees outside of the Milwaukee area counties.
These were never treated and dead for about a year. In decline for five or more years.
What harness do you wear in the lift and does it double as fall arrest and climbing saddle great video those ash borers sure have wreaked havoc

@@GameofTrees Thanks I’ll check it out was looking for something so I could hop out of my bucket truck when needed
Those dead ash trees sure make a mesh
