LSV's been around the block in LOTR Limited, so can he just keep racking up trophies?

My toxic trait is thinking that if I got passed all the cards LSV does I'd be mythic too
This is me to my core lol
I came here to ask when this draft was recorded 😂
It helps if you also play pretty much perfectly all the time as well.
Luck of skill I guess. Personally i'm more inpressed with his overall draws. I have record times of drawing 5+ Lands in a row this set. That is with playing 15-16 Lands and regularly looting with ring.
This is a better example of why you should stay open than luck. His first black card is pick 4 and it becomes his primary color, and he stays open until almost pack 3 until it’s clear that red’s more open.
Your commentary throughout the draft and games is really helpful, keep up the good work
Thanks for the uploads LSV. I'm really going to miss this format when it inevitably rotates out, but until then I will keep watching and trying to get better at these drafts!
LSV calling System of a Down a "solid band" warms my heart.
I must severely have underestimated the money there is in magic, since it's apparently no hassle to pay off the other 7 drafters at the table.
I am learning a lot, thanks for the detailed commentary.
"Oh, a short video, I wonder what went wrong?"
Great thumbnail! Love the content.
Would hotdog be better with some mordor mustard?
He drafted ONE RARE and players are complaining. This exemplifies why I don't let hardcore Magic nerds in my house. They can look in my windows before I turn the sprinklers on.
who is complaining?
Read the comments.....
And it was a land that ended up just being a worse Mountain for him.
I don't see one youtube comment complaining about him drafting rares. I think you just want something to complain about
Nasty deck... wow.
The fact that green is not an option makes the draft less interesting but also makes it so the matches are way less diverse in terms of what you play against
As he said UG can be good, if you get the higher rarity cards (though you shouldn't aim for it during the draft), but I feel that the grixis decks don't always play out the same - sometimes you are spell "combo" with 1 or 2 gandalf's sanctions, sometimes you go hard on amass synergies (this for me is the least common deck), sometimes you can really go hard on ring tempting, sometimes it is a sacrifice deck, sometimes it is just a good control deck without any particular synergies.
Yes the spell and control deck can play out similarly, but not always and the tempting and amass decks can be on either side of the aggro - control spectrum (as can sac decks)
And during the draft you do have a couple of cards that will always make the cut, but there is also a bunch of cards that depend on the exact deck composition and synergies you have - do you want the trebuchet? Do you want lancers (yes I've cut them in a few decks - they are overall good, but I had contolling decks without much temptations where I just didn't want them, or in one case I had 2 gandalf's sanctions and a treason and would play spells over them)? Do you want nasty end? Etc. there are many more cards that have been great in some decks and cut in others in my personal experience.
And there is a draft every now and then where you almost want to go full grixis (well splashing technically, but it happened more then once that I wanted to splash 2 or 3 cards and you have the oliphants then in the deck) and then you have to draft quite a bit differently, since the fixing exists, but isn't strong, so deciding when to bite into the bitter apple and take a shire terrace or wizard's rockets over a OK spell becomes an interesting decision in my opinion :)
Green isn't unplayable, its just has a very high bar to get there. The problem from what I found is that the food theme is very good at keeping you from losing, but not very good at winning. You really need some powerful payoffs at rare to want to be in green.
20:13 everytime I keep a hand like this, I never find my stupid 3rd mana or other color. I swear!
That was insane, LSV. If you can cap Amass early, get lucky enough to wheel some cards that draft through the cracks, and then manage to somehow just be like rackdos or dimir in this current limited format, I really don’t think there’s a way an opponent can win unless they go treefolk or like grixis burn. Just brutal.
It’s also funny that Wizards was like, “Damn, Green does actually suck this time around. Let’s just make a card for ONE MANA SCRY 3.”
Spoiler: He can indeed keep getting away with it. XD
Lots of people sleeping on Black Breath, just saying ❤
WTF 4 rallies

Rares are for rookies

I would’ve taken the Warbeast over Club
You would not have won some of those games then. That said, I would have made the same choice you did!
@@Athrolaxle I’ve been extremely lucky this format. I’m rocking a 64.8% Winrate in LotR
