I don’t think they are interested in me! I love technology as long as it’s used for good.💕🥰 I’ve had Alex in almost every room in my house for years.
They are nothing but spy trackers, along with all the other 'smart' items. Especially the ones in our hands😢
I have begun to unplug Alexia until I listen to music. I don’t want anyone or anything invading my privacy.

Alexa is listening to everything you and Bill are talking about from politics to religion. She knows who you're going to vote for and why, also she/ they know where you go to church. I'm very leary of Alexa. But if you like her that's alright too.

I do have Siri on my iPhone but I don’t use it much. I’ve heard bad things about Alexa. I seen a news report about the smart home devices and how they could be hacked. I’m not into this kind of technology. 🤷🏻♀️

I have Alexa and don’t even think about using it as a reminder. Thanks for the great tips. I’ve never heard of asking about removing a mole or making a playlist of favorite songs.

Sandra, thank you for suggestions for Alexa that I didn’t know. We have the one with the screen in our kitchen. We love it as we can look for the date and time but it does give you recipes and you can use it for your grocery list also.

I don't have one, but a friend ,whose husband is totally bedridden, had one set up in her husband's bedroom. I am not sure if he realizes all the things that it could be used for, but it certainly could enrich his life.
One day when I was visiting both of them, we had a question that was related to his care, and we asked Alexa, who gave us a good answer.

We are wary of things like Alexa (listening in on all that goes on in a household....what could possibly go wrong lol), but can appreciate how useful/convenient it could be for so many things, as you've mentioned. Goodness, our smart phones and our smart tvs listen in on us, too....yikes. On a completely separate note, your earrings are very pretty :)

I had the goggle one installed a couple of weeks ago because I have fallen lately and I could call 911 if need be. My hubby and I were talking and she made a suggestion. It scared me. I told her not to speak again unless she was spoken to and she said ok. I still have it but I do think it listens just as my IPad does. Call me Crazy but I am not too comfortable with it. 😮
If she’s listening the blue ring goes around or it makes a beeping sound. I have had her for years with no problem.

Very informative thanks. I have been thing of getting one but always leary of setting up new things techie. But I would love one for music especially now my disc player died and I have so much music I can't play. My thinking is I could ask for certain discs I have although I guess they may not have everything. I am not worried about Alexis and personal info. My husband died several months ago so not much conversation going on here these days,still getting used to living alone. This may help with remembering things, as you know when you are grieving your mind is a jumbled mess for some time.

I have an Asian American friend who enjoys it all. Her smartwatch offers navigation directions, the ability to call a cab, measures her activity and heart rate, and lets her make and answer phone calls.
it's pretty impressive just how far technology has advanced since The Jetsons. ❤
