Brand New Second Hand is one of the few undoubtedly classic 'Urban' albums to come from the UK in my opinion
I'm mainly into rock/metal and progressive music but loved UK hip hop, especially in the late nineties like Roots, Rodney, Skinny man etc. Buying this new Roots M album, one of the best hip hop albums I've heard in ages. The production and lyrics are great.
Total LEGEND!!!!!!! Nuff said.
Big up Roots Manuva. Salute from The Netherlands!
Im French Fan and I saw 'Witness' for first time on a Friday night in Oct.2001 and gosh I said that's British and as I went many times to England since Im a kid,I was happy to see British Hip Hop new style.
I bought 'Run comes save me' few months later ,early 2002 .
But I didnt know he recorded a previous One .I bought that One when I was in my 5 days Stay in London on Nov.2002 with Inspectah Deck's 'Uncontrolled Substances' .
But I first listened him on a compil 'If its not 100%UK Hip Hop,you can have your money back' the track was 'Cornmeal Dumpling' '99 and also in a Previous Compil 'Operation Overlord' from '97 and the track was 'Next Type of Motion'. I knew the Compil as I was 16 but I bought it a few years later in 2002.
He does a great stuff along Mike Skinner who still does Albums ,thats cool British Mcs feel relaxed on their Music.
