- "Burning Inside," taken from Ministry's album, The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste (1989)
Industrial Metal
Lyrics:
Will these dreams still follow me
When the dark comes, curing time
Can't you see it up in the sky
As it kicks you in the face and sucks you dry
You never had the answers
And now you tell me the facts are lies
I really couldn't be bothered with you
Get out of my face and watch me die
Burning inside! Burning inside!
Absolution and a frozen room
And the dreams of men below
I try to grab it but the touch is hot
The mirror collects it, but the image can not
I'm scared of the darkness and the light
I scare myself because I know I'm right
I see the evil in your savage eye
As it cuts right through the sky
Burning inside! Burning inside!
Calming the mantra with a blade in his skin
For the demons within
I feel the pain as we start to decay
But the lesson never fades away
Don't need no shadows, turn them away
Become a man through the window pane
Another slave and a victim of fate
Another lesson in hate
Burning inside! Burning inside!
“What happens when the world is yours, and then you lose it?”
This fits the game intro and the movie scenes in it so well.
@@brennocalderan2201 woah woah woah, what game!?
Ok nevermind it’s scarface
You go on living, if you can.
@@brennocalderan2201 I love how as the movie progresses in the intro, the money gets more bloodier and burns more immensely
I'm 54 years old and I *STILL* listen to this song at full blast!! 🤟🔥😱🔥🎶

At 48, STILL my all-time favorite song. My wife and 9 y/o son LOATHE it more than I could ever FORCE one to possibly understand. THANKS Uncle Al.
My son loves it, probably not as much as me but close, the rest just don't understand. Used to dance to it when it first came out in an underground club in San Diego 💜💀💜
I'm 52 so what ?
Same here - 31 years after first hearing it I still love it and it's one of my favorite songs ever!
23 here.
One of the best songs ever
Still makes my blood boil 30 years later

Yeah and Thieves 👍👍👍
it's unbreakable

I still remember purchasing this album by mistake when I was 11 years old (on cassette tape!). I was really into metal having devoured everything by Metallica and Slayer they released until that point. I walked into the record store and I was looking for a band that I couldn't quite recall the name of. To this day I can't remember who they were but they were some generic thrash band I saw on Headbanger's Ball and they had a name that was related to religion. I thought Minsitry was that band and boy was I wrong. I popped the tape into mom's cassette player on the ride home with my buddy in the back seat. Thieves came on and I remember both of us saying "What is this????" I'd never really heard anything like it (this was well before NIN became mainstream). I must admit I was pretty dissapointed with it because it wasn't what I had came for, but after getting it home and giving it a couple of listens I changed my mind. This was cutting edge stuff and much more interesting than that forgotten thrash band I wanted. One of the best mistakes of my life.
Testament?
Awesome!
Before I saw your suggestion, mine was going to be Metal Church
@@shruggzdastr8-facedclown Could be!? or maybe Exodus?
That's a good suggestion -- why I didn't think of it before my Metal Church comment, I dunno, 'cuz I think it's a actually better suggestion than mine.
43 yrs old and still love this shit! Nothing today compares
so what about me I'm 66 and Ministry's Burning inside ... My favorite , but listen that , Car , or headphones or garage late night, [sound insolated] room. MINISTRY # 1 forever , nobody is closer-unfortunately...
Fook, I'm 43 not listening again to this song, u must be 50 now!
This song never ceases to make smile. What a happy tune!
When I heard these vocals for the first time...it changed everything....never heard something so fucking unique before in my entire life!!
I think I will request to have this played at my funeral, when I'm being cremated.
Scarface: The World Is Yours introduction brought me here. It's a perfect recap of the movie up until when you can change Tony's fate.
my favorite Ministry song all time.
Perhaps my favorite tune all time.
I can't listen to this in my car anymore. It only gets me in trouble.
look, you didn't do anything wrong

Goddamn, Al couldn't have created a better representation of a batshit wildfire within a song.
Being born at the right time brought me here.
Well fucking said. Cheers.
Dima eating chilli literally brought me here

I still love this track even after 20 odd years
You don't look old
I will be 53 years on the 22nd of this month, it being June. I love this song. So much raw energy.
Having flashbacks ! Good times love Ministry
I feel this song, within every particle of my mind, body and soul. Am 49, have loved Ministry since i was 14. And this is one of my favorites.
This was my personal theme for 23+ yrs in the profession of arms. It never failed to ignite fire in my veins! Also, a great track to include on a love-making mix tape
"You don't underestimate the other guy's greed!"
Scarface: TWIY brought me here.
I am a christian & i love ministry.
I am a christian , and I like synthpop , ministry was synthpop and I like ministry!!! I think next two ministry's albums-"Satan is not exist" and "America is not exist" will be trip-hop albums!!! GIVE TRIP-HOP A CHANCE ,GIVE SYNTHPOP A CHANCE , HALLELUJAH!
I got into ministry my freshman year of highschool, they're still one of my favorite bands.
another amazing song from the masters of industrial anthems. i love this band ever so much.
More Than *EVER* [ It Seems ] ...
... this song is ... *Timely* ... and *Prophetic*
B_G _C word
Everytime that i have to drive at night this song always plays.
"Will these dreams still follow me, out of DARK OBSCURITY"...
thats the lyric
I scare myself because I know I'm right has gotta be one of the most wicked lines ever
I was a massive “with sympathy” fan, and loved a few tracks on the next album “angel” and always loved all mixes of their greatest:
thank you brutal legend for the beautiful music.
Since the first album, had the early great ones.
Uncle Al is the shit!
Say hello to my *LITTLE FRIEND!*
The world is yours
Hill Billy moon explosion
Anthony Nadsat BOOM!!!

Still my favorite Ministry song to this very day...and I love all things Ministry...even that embarrassing Relapse album😂😂
Francis Bottoni wtf 😂😂😂😂
Best break up song ever even though it isn't about breaking up.. Lmao!
Was walking down the sidewalk jamming to this. Had to stop for a quick headbanging session. People were driving by looking at me like I'm a dumbass lol thanks Uncle Al! #BURNING_INSIDE!
Thanks to the wonders of Z Rock Pirate radio this incredible band was blasted into my headphones. Still outstanding after all these years.
When this came out i was in high school. Great times
PURE ENERGY!
Ministry consistantly sooth stress away😁😊☝️👍
ive always heard. "will these dreams still follow me,
out of dark obscurity. "
my prayer group told me to join ministry. that's why I'm here
Adam Mulia das good 😇😂
Thinking about music I took shit for listening to in the 80's brought me here.
A.J. and crew created a masterpiece here.
This song is still brutal and untouchable by any standard. It's own fierceness and honesty. LAND OF RPE AND HONEY AND PSALMS 69 And this are Really Monumental. It's like all the shit they did on that farm in Texas with Gibby is other worldly! Still solid after all these years. Still relevant!
Burning Inside, definitely my national anthem on Fajita night!
For the past 27 years I’ve used the mere memory of this hook to induce adrenaline on demand when I need to get shit done and fast.
two words SCAR FACE
Well this is mine and my husband's love song, we were headbanging to this the night of our first kiss!
Nostalgia brought me here and the true burning inside....that meaning that has been twisted after decades.
Used to dance to this, wow. Sounds amazing still.
Use to lol why'd ya stop
@@OmegaRedFan haha
first time i ever heard this song was on a black label skate video that i still own on VHS, and i still love this. happy i found it!
the world is yours, baby!
Jack Jones even rent
A bad ass song. My youth and I'm old now. Seeing them live in Chicago during this era was killer!
I don't know what brought me here, I just sorta wandered in from the cold
We got stuck here if you want? Enjoy the music your gonna be treated like a friend here.
all are welcome... let the song burn inside and warm u up
I remember 'dancing' to this prior to an Overkill concert as it was playing over the PA back in 1995
Bill's drumming MADE this song.
RIP!
You never had the answers
And now you tell me the facts of life
Going to Lark Street in Albany New York and listening to this song in the early 1990s that was awesome
My favorite metal song
Play this song at my funeral
icecreampimpdeux you want cremated 😂 I had to😂
Got into Ministry 30 years ago with Psalm 69, this is my first time hearing thia song, gonna have to google the f'ing lyrics....big slayer, metallica fan. Glad I found this!
This was the track at Lollapalooza Chicago where everyone started ripping up sod from the lawn and throwing it in the air and Jourgensen stopped and started cussing everyone out and telling them to stop. Apparently this was a trend on the Lollapalooza tour for them that year. You can tell me it was just youth, but I will tell you it was because of the dark spiritual force behind Ministry. Yes, I still appreciate the creativity behind this band, and they still have an undeniable pull for me to this day in 2018, but that's just the truth.
Right on brother! I still love the music even the blasphemous stuff not the message but the song itself. Everything from God is good and righteous everything less than that is of the Devil the fallen angels the nephilim the hybrids and the giants. People have no clue there are two races of men on this earth regardless of skin color because its in EVERY RACE. Sons of satan and Sons of Yeshua. You shall know them by their fruit. Sons of Satan are the 1% but also all around you they have infiltrated the top positions everywhere this is why work sucks everywhere.
lollapaloiza is not dark not even close... you should see the back alley dungeon begining of their career underground concerts.. before bandwagons... idk if they ever did groupytrendposercoachella
@@zarlodious1 what about bad old yhaweh
I saw them in phx at desert sky. People starting rounding up blankets and starting gigantic bonfires to mosh around. It was fucking insane. I will NEVER forget that show. The fires were 40 feet In the air. Security starting macing everyone and only like 10 percent stopped. Ministry creates an undeniable emotion for sure.
I'm 52 0n the bus, mom, just have to thrash ..inside..was too scared to go to pit or concert ..but ALWAYS LOVED THIS SHIT! I have to start exercising Doc says...hello old friend Ministry! Itll be our little secret.
Every time I listen to this in the car, I get pulled over for speeding...
My wife went nuts at me when she was driving because I was drinking cans and going mental to this! I'm 43, she thinks i need to grow up haha.
Tilt this channel all the way up boys are my favorites...
This Band in concert, the only one I've ever feared for my life...

FINALLY!!!!! Scarface: The World Is Yours INTRO SONG!!!! :D :D :D :D
Scarface: The World is Yours brought me here. This song would’ve fit Sonic Adventure.
I have tried to compare this song to another one but had to give up - just not possible. This is an outstanding masterpiece!
this song makes me want to release all feelings of reasonable contempt and become full savagery mode

Early 90's Ministry has to be some of the best industrial metal ever made. Land of Rape and Honey, The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste and Psalm 69 are 3 awesome albums.
I haven't heard industrial music in a long time, Ministry fed my craving.
