I believe cockroaches molt from the head to the thorax before emerging. Perhaps 'human' form is the next molting process, which can have something to do with free will. Free will can lead to a loss of a sort of knowing what one 'should' be doing at any given time. Eat, sleep, defecate, procreate....lather, rinse, repeat. Perhaps now it is time to make hard choices. Big choices (by the size of the cockroach).
