So many are touched by this video, Lisa. Wasn't aware of this song or Mark Wills prior to Home Free releasing this video. It has inspired many to share painful experiences with emotions ranging from sobbing to outspoken rage.Commend the guys for shedding light on this problem which needs to be addressed day in, day out. One reactor I watched follows the young man featured in the video on TikTok and mentioned he's the CEO of '21 Pineapples' (the funky shirts). BTW, the tall gal in the blue dress, who joins Mark, is his daughter.
Very emotional and very powerful! Love how Home Free doesn't back down to difficult issues! Unapologetically! They have such beautiful heart's and are Amazing gentlemen! Thank you Lisa! Appreciate you very much! Love from South Georgia, USA ♥️😀🍟
Thanks for your reaction! This song has a very powerful message on a very serious subject. Love that Home Free isn't afraid to tackle the issue of bullying.
This is such a sweet song with a powerful message. Mark has a beautiful voice and this song was a hit for him in the 90’s. Loved HF backing him up and the kids were so cute. Good reaction Lisa and we all shed some tears. 🥰
The lady at the end is Mark Wills daughter, who also experienced bullying as a child. Her voice added with her dad's and Home Free's backing made this such a powerful song, but the video almost broke me.
Mark WIlls originally recorded this song in 1998. It was written by Steve Seskin and Allen Shamblin. As someone else mentioned, that was Mark's daughter that sang backup at the end. The young man in the video, Nate Simon and his mother started the 21 Pineapples clothing line, Hawaiian shirts to change how people view Downs Syndrome. He's a really talented, funny guy.
Hey Lisa - this song is sooo moving. I cry every time I see anyone react to it. Thank you for your perspective - it's all true. We need to all be smarter, kinder, and more accepting and caring. Have a lovely weekend, my friend. xo ✨🤗
The guy Nate is actually the CEO of 21 Pineapples were he sale the shirts he was wearing in the video. The lady at the end is Mark's daughter. Mark brought this song out back on October 7, 2009. You may enjoy watching the original video of Mark's for this song. Always truly enjoy watching your reaction.
From my understanding the lady singing is Mark Wills daughter who was bullied when she was in school. I know I was to the point that I quit school when I was 16. I'm one of the lucky ones I feel because in the long run being bullied made me a stronger and better person in some ways. I'm 58 now and have spent my life being kind and considerate to others.
LIsa, I loved your heartfelt reaction! I've watched this probably 40+ times & have cried every time. I met Mark Wills (he's from my area) about the time this song came out in 1998 & it was a hit then. Mark with his daughter & Home Free made it even better & the kids are incredible! It's just evil that many want to get rid of them when they are so very precious! God bless you & yours! 🤗&😘from SE Tennessee, USA!😊
Just discovered you Lisa - thank you - you are obviously a lovely soul - you are now one of only 5 subs I have - PS, it is Mark Wills daughter - take care
Our humanity often gets left behind our mood and obligation to care about OTHERS around us in life ! If your Mom, your God and that certain someone YOU WOULD NEVER WANT TO DISAPPOINT could hear you when you say things to another person ..... LOOMED IN YOUR THOUGHT RIGHT BEFORE YOU SPEAK .... perhaps then .... decency - not cruelty would be YOUR MEASURE ! BE THAT PERSON .... and God bless you all. GBjj
NEW SUB. THIS IS MARK'S ORIGINAL SONG WRITTEN IN 1998 FOR MARK'S SECOND ALBUM. THE LADY IN THE BLUE DRESS IS MACIE MARIE HIS DAUGHTER. THE YOUNG MAN IS 19 YEARS OLD WITH DOWN'S. HE IS THE CREATOR AND CEO OF 21 PINEAPPLES. THE NAME COMES FROM THE 21ST CHROMOSOME THAT CAUSES DOWN'S. ALL THE FUNKY SHIRTS HE WORE AND THE TSHIRTS HE AND THE GIRL WORE IS IN HIS 21 PINEAPPLES CLOTHING LINE. THE TSHIRTS HAVE INSPIRATIONAL MESSEGES. I'M NOT SURE BUT I THINK THE GIRL DOING SIGN LANGUAGE IS THE SAME ONE IN THE VIDEO.
It’s interesting that you happened to pick two songs that are collaborations with original artists redoing their classic songs this week. It felt like a coincidence, but perhaps someone helped set that up. There are other very famous artists who have done the same with the guys. The best example is Don McLean hit them up for the 50th anniversary of American Pie. They have gone on to join Don at major ceremonies like his walk of fame star. Btw, the lady in the blue dress is Mark’s daughter.
May I play devil's advocate here? First of all, I do not condone bullying in any way. I do want to say that the one doing the bullying probably "hurts". They may be bullied at home, or feel they have no control. Maybe I'm reading something into the video that isn't there, but notice the boys picked up the food and took it. Maybe they don't get enough food. For children to act unchild like, something is wrong. They hurt, either physically or mentally. Look at them. Help them. I am not a parent of a bully, but something is wrong there.
And this is why we love Home Free....
