Apologies if I've missed it, but I can't find the library tour episode which covers the Library of America volumes that you've got /had on the shelved behind you in your older videos (apart from the one on AA writers). If you never made one, would you consider making it?

Great video, lots of my favorites in here and others I will have to read, especially Feebleminded. as someone who struggled thru half a semester of hungarian i can tell you the first consonant of Sátántangó is like "shoe"

As I always say, one of the most interesting readers on booktube! Many of these I’ll be adding to my list I’m sure. I read Die my Love last year and struggled with it at first but was captivated by the end so looking forward to continuing in this ‘involuntary trilogy’ and I’ve been wanting to try Lispector for a while so perhaps Aqua Viva is a good place to start.

Thanks for the kind words, Jo. Die, my Love is such a visceral work, and Feebleminded picks right up with that sensibility. I hope you enjoy Lispector.
      Cheers, Jack

What a brilliant list of books! Invisible Man has been sitting on my shelf unread for too long, so I might try and get to it soon. But it sounds like I'll be needing to pick up Juneteenth as well! I read The Secret History for the first time last year and really enjoyed it. I also read Dick Davies' translation of the poetry of Hafez and the other poets of Shiraz and really liked it, so I might try Layli and Majnun as soon as I can. I hope your year has started well, Jack.

Thanks, Aaron, it’s great to find another reader who appreciates Persian poetry, and I’m glad the you enjoyed The Secret History. Ellison has a massive reputation, but it is well deserved. I hope you enjoy his works!
      Cheers, Jack

Your lists are always really fascinating, also because you do not succumb to the majority of us to almost only speak about newer books. Great List! And "Juneteenth" I must take a look at.

I love the blue flamingo shirt. I've seen you wearing it in several of your videos.
    Where did you get it?

You are one of the few who reads books from every country. The 90% of booktuber read almost exclusively anglo-american literature.

Thanks for the kind words. There are so many experiences, stories, and voices in our world, so I try to spend time with a wide variety.
