Disassemble JBL Partybox 100 & Battery Upgrade (Part 2/2)

- This video explains possible JBL Partybox 100 upgrade solutions and guides you through the one with an external power bank. The advantage of using the external power bank upgrade is that it's the least destructive (beside drilling a hole in the sidewall), allows you to run the speaker in performance mode (thanks to the 20V power bank power source) and charge the 20V power bank with another, common lower voltage power bank for an extended duration.
This video is based on this video ( • Disassemble JBL Partyb... ) which shows how to open the Partybox 100 and get access to the internal parts to proceed with the upgrades.

Becouse that Party Box On the Go, have only 2500mah, and it's playing 1,5h on maximum settings, like Volume and lighting. I will be really grateful.

Question movyl- will I be able to charge party box internal battery just through the dc 5.5 input with a dc wall pug?
I think it depends on the Volts coming from your wall plug. It should be the same as the Volts coming from the converter!
If you use a different voltage it might damage the components
I have a 12.8v 7.8ah battery with dc output, any way to use this to power this speaker/ i have no clue
Hi, i need help on my speaker jbl partybox 100, the speaker light for charging comes on but it doesnt charge it remains on one light blinking……..i tried pressing the power button for long but it still wont turn on…….what may the problem be?

I did your setup but with a 100w pd portable charger and the connection to the speaker started smoking when I connected everything

My electric knowledge is limited so would a 220v powerbank like beaudens 166Wh (more expensive but easier to use) would have the same effect (and extra battery life)?

Yes, doing this mod only leaves you to charge with the USB C and not with the normal AC 230V input.
If you use that one Powerbank, you don't need this modification anymore, however, I don't know about lifetime since you probably waste energy during the conversation of 220V to 24V.
Could you not connect the wires from the converter and the wires from the dc plug together, and then connected to the jst-xa plug? Then both charging options should have worked?
you can put and the power supply with a on and off switch so if you are in house plug the power supply and outdoor you can use the power bank! is the best solution

20.000mAh Powerbank gave us an additional of 5h on max volume and bass boost 2. Alltogether 8/9h.

Ye im gonna get my friends dad who's an electrician do this. I can't go with 3 hour 20 mins of baterry life. That additional 5 to bump it over 8 I'd a must and perfect duration to listen to music all night .

It's just better to buy 2 battery packs and connect in series, double capacity, voltage is the same

What about the thought of making it solar panel chargeable for those on-the-go that don't have access to power if I was to do so how would I do that and what size solar panel would I have to use any suggestions can help
