Just the trico pattern I have been looking for. Awesome video. Looks like I’ll be able to see this one great on slower water. Ed Koch would approve … and Ed Engle!
lol…….. I needed a good laugh and as always I got a bit of a chuckle at the end of the video. Great bug and definitely easier to see when it’s done in a size 24. Thanks for what you do Charlie
Nothing like fishing the trico fog. A visible fly will be key.
Very cool. Expect nothing less.thanks Charlie.
Definitely worth a try. Thanks, Charlie!
Great idea with the badger. Why even bother with the poly, though? I have been using just hackle for years and seems to work fine.
Nicely done I have to tie some 22 like the badger
Good stuff. Thank you!
Legend tying. Thanks
I'm going to try to make this fly for my box for sure.
Way behind on my fly tying video watching, but this one is fantastic and I didn’t have to bitch and moan either. Lol. Thanks Charlie.
As always, awesome…
I don't bitch at all Charlie, I understand work and effort. As for the fly well I love the Trico time here on the West Branch of the Farmington. This year we had a long drought and very low water conditions. We had outstanding dry fly fishing from the middle of July to the end of October when the rains came. Trico's was a big part of it. It's over a 60-mile drive so I would head up on Monday afternoon, camp out till the weekend, and let the sods that still have to work have at it. I like being retired. Rife deer season is over for me, I filled my two tags, and I can get another but I am not going to. I sent the hides off to be tanned, Including the mask so I am going to be in deer hair for some time. One is going to be a kind of throw rug. Its fly tying season now. I got boxes to fill and this one is going to find a spot in my Trico box.
I need help. I need a fly that is easy to tie, that floats like top! but also has a portion that breaks the surface tension, that can be tied down to sizes like 18 and smaller! THANK YOU ALL!
Check out the Mole Fly
The blue background does matter. How many videoes have backgrounds that obscure the details.A dark colored fly against a black bacground or over exsposed lighting...I have over 800 subscriptions to tyers. It does matter.Thank you.
Black shirt, blue shirt...who cares! Im here for the knowledge!
Bring back the BLACK!!!
