The wrap looks awesome, but you got the string the wrong way around the tuner. You want to keep the string pull as straight as you can for tuning stability.
This is AWESOME!!!!!! A great display of art and skilled craftsmanship and a very cool soundtrack!!! The neck and fretboard look INSANE!!!!!!! The neck looks like carbon fiber!!! Did you also use the same process for bass pickups? What a transformation!!! Very impressive!
looks really cool and you showed incredible skill with your craft knife. The one issue I have is that you didn't pull the pots when wrapping the body, so now if someone has to pull the pots, either to upgrade them or just replace a bad pot, it's going to ruin the wrap as you went over the washers, would have been better to remove all the electronics before wrapping the body. It also looks like you might have done the same with the audio jack as I can see it's still in the back cavity, though I can't get a clear look at it on the outside. To be fair, this is a nitpick in an otherwise really nice customisation.
I was looking for some tips in order to customize my guitar, cuz its just impossible to have something out there to sell that perfect fits to me. But you sir come really close to what i wish for. Some masterpiece job you have done. Congrats!
I hope he took the shiny pick guard and fret markers OFF those just looks like a teenager was massing around but the skin nobody was great and executed great
1: i make a good overlap, it does have seams but a good over lap doesnt make it look bad.. 2: i make sure that make cut on the sticker is very light so that i wont cut the original paint of my bass.. Thank you sir
I was wondering how the heck I could wrap an entire guitar... because most of the videos I've found people only cover the face of the guitar. I wasn't sure what to do on the areas where the 2 pieces of vinyl would overlap, but I see now that it's not that noticable.
I've been thinking of wrapping a guitar just for fun, but I'd also like it to be usable, I never thought of wrapping the fretboard, how did it hold up?
you started with a strip on the sides first? I am confused. The vid begins with what I thought was an already completed back because you see the sides wrapped up to the top edge. Then when you do the top and flip it over to expose the back, it is still red. What is up? Did you skip a step? Nice work though. I want to know if you overt lapped vinyl where the edges meet? Thanks :)
Good day sir.. Yes I did put a strip first on the side because if I did it with just two piece (front and back only) it will come out or bloom specially on the curve and round part.. I forgot to put the video part when I'm making the strip..
Yes and it's not noticeable if the cutting is nice.. And with the materials that I used the line cannot barely seen because of the color like chameleon
Is there a way to hide the seams , also I wanna get a white one and spotter it with paint speckles , can you clear coat over the wraps or do they sell clear wraps to go over a lower layer?
There is a clear wrap called ppf, about the seams any guitar wrapping can't avoid to have seams because its impossible to make it one piece.. I make the edge first and then front and back
It was sad when you cut the pink pickguard material right in the center and wasted half of the material. But it looks nice. You also stringed it up wrong. The strings always go to the inside of the post.
Quick question, I’m buying an unfinished guitar body for a build I want to do, will I need to put a finish on it before putting on the vinyl wrap? Or would it be fine to put the vinyl right on the unfinished wood?
good day sir.. you can put it on the vinyl on the unfinished wood just make sure that it is smooth so that i will look clean when its finished.. if you want to put a finish first make sure that its not a weak paint or top coat otherwise it will be a mess we you pull back the Vinyl the finish or top coat will come with it..
The wrap looks awesome, but you got the string the wrong way around the tuner. You want to keep the string pull as straight as you can for tuning stability.
Great results! Personally though, I think it would look better without the silvery material as a pickguard. But still, a great transformation!
Will be interesting to see how the back of the neck holds up
Looks truely fantastic I love it
Thanks so much!
Absolutely excellent. Thank you for this. Great attention to detail and inlays are so much better than the stock dots too.
Thank you sir.. I appreciate it🙏
Nice colour, I like the Ducati badge on the headstock too haha
How easy it looks when someone else does it. I tried once... pretty painful experience, I must confess :)
Came to watch a bass that looks pretty. Left to watch Kenshin. Gorgeous work! And thanks for the music. :)
👍🏾Wow, looks amazing with that silvery pickguard thingie. Awsome job.
Amazing work brotha, really cool idea!
Thank you! Cheers!
I’m guessing your a brain surgeon, with scalpel precision like that, you could save lives! Beautiful work. Cheers
I wish!

Perfect! I want to wrap my guitar with orange luminiscent.
Sounds great!
i wish i had the bottle to take my guitar apert but its over 40 yrs old and something would probably break lol

Now, it is great stage bass!
Yap... but for '70 or '80...
Beautiful job. I guess we have to spray clear coat (lacquer) on it to make it last longer, right ?

Bonjour, je voudrais savoir comment vous réalisez la jointure entre la face avant et la face arrière après la pose du skin wrap ? Merci. cordialement

Thank you sir
and how durable is that on a fretboard and back of the neck? or it's just a display piece?
2 questions: 1: how do you avoid seams showing; and 2) aren't you risking scoring the original paint using the knife directly on the body?
1: i make a good overlap, it does have seams but a good over lap doesnt make it look bad.. 2: i make sure that make cut on the sticker is very light so that i wont cut the original paint of my bass.. Thank you sir
@@iamdotskieofficial Did you wrap the edge of the body first? looks like that wasn't in the video?
Yes sir i did
Looks cool. But I dont know if I would spend so much time nad effort in such a cheap bass. I have the Gio GSR200 version
Any chance I can get some wrap scraps from you to do this too!! 🔥🔥
From what seller or where to get that multi-couloured sticker sheet who is aplied to that bass-body?
Cool as hell looking wonder if it holds up
Its been 3 years since i wrap it and it still holding . No problem because the wrapping materials that i used are premium vynils from avery and hexis
awesome!!

How has the fretboard vinyl held up these last two years?
It's still intact as of now. I'm planning to change the colors this year
pls send me the link for that wrap. would work really great on my rgd7ucs prestige
Galing nito boss! Balak ko sana i wrap yung luma kong Ibanez. Ano po mgandang brand pang wrap na hindi masyado hassle sa bubbles? Thanks!

This is inspiring me to do the same kind of thing with vinyl on the fretboard, but I have to know does it affect the sound in a negative way?
No sir it does not affect anything.. just be carefull when assembling it again..
You did the right thing
What material is it? The purple one? The sheet. It looks amazing.

How did you get it to wrap around the curves of the body without wrinkles?
What brand of vunyl wrap did you use?
Amazing work, i wanna try this too, but i don't know what is this wrapping material called☹️
You can try it sir, the sticker that i use on my bass is 3M sticker its a purple blue with rainbow chrome
Interesting, but no way it feels nice to play now and I wonder how it's all holding up
Good way to slow your neck down, looks good tho
